  • Patent number: 11522302
Abstract: A connection of a connection wire and a connection element are disclosed. In an embodiment a connection includes a connection wire having an insulation and a stud-shaped metallic connection element, wherein the connection wire is wound in a plurality of turns around the connection element, and wherein the turns include a first wire section, in which the connection wire is insulation-stripped, and a second wire section, in which the insulation is present.

  • Publication number: 20220277887
Abstract: In an embodiment a coil includes a tube having a tube wall of an electrically conductive material, wherein the tube has an inductive portion in which a gap is arranged in the tube wall which shapes the tube wall in the inductive portion to form a helix, wherein the tube has at least one contact section including a connection region and at least one terminal region, wherein the connection region has the same contour as an adjacent portion of the helix, wherein the terminal region is an electrical terminal of the coil, and wherein the connection region electrically connects the terminal region to the inductive portion.

  • Publication number: 20220093324
Abstract: In an embodiment a coil includes a tube comprising a tube wall composed of an electrically conductive material, wherein the tube wall has an inductive portion in which a gap is arranged that shapes the tube wall so the tube wall forms a helix in the inductive portion, and wherein the tube wall has two contact portions, each contact portion forming an electrical terminal.

  • Patent number: 4955553
Abstract: A reel for coiling and uncoiling metal strips includes an expanding mandrel which is actuated by a spreader cylinder. The expanding mandrel is driven by a drive motor with a control and computing unit for determining the outer diameter of the coil at any given time. The outer diameter is introduced into a microprocessor which determines the initial spreading pressure and the winding pull to be maintained. The winding pull to be maintained is introduced into the control and computing unit. The microprocessor further determines, in dependence on the outer diameter of the coil, the required spreading pressure which is generated in the spreading cyclinder. As a result, the expanding mandrel always operates with a spreading force which is dependent upon the outer diameter of the coil at any given time, so that overloading is eliminated and wear is substantially reduced.

  • Patent number: 4886199
Abstract: A strip treatment apparatus, for example for metal strips includes a strip drive and a strip store disposed both at the apparatus entry and apparatus exit with a processing section being disposed between the two stores and a strip drive being disposed after the processing section. The two loop trolleys or roll tables of the strip stores are mechanically interconnected to form a movable unit. The strip drive disposed after the processing section and/or the strip drives at the entry and exit of the apparatus are operative as drives for moving the interconnected loop trolleys or interconnected roll tables, so that independent drives for these movable units can be omitted.

  • Patent number: 4744275
Abstract: The method and apparatus provide for transversely separating and laterally trimming or finishing continuously passing strips in processing lines for strip material, such as metallic strip. The strip is first severed in transverse direction and immediately thereafter is trimmed at the sides thereof. The time required for adjusting the lateral shears is approximately equal to that of the coil exchange operation leading to the time gained, and stoppages of strip in the operating stages are precluded.

  • Patent number: 3962894
Abstract: A metal strip is spanned over a plurality of rollers carried on a pair of frames. A single heavy-duty drive motor rotates a common drive shaft that is connected via bevel gearing to the sun gears of a plurality of planetary-gear assemblies each having its planet carrier connected to the respective roller. The ring gear of one of these assemblies is fixed whereas the ring gears of all of the other assemblies are connected to respective compensating motors. A torque sensor at the output of each compensating motor generates an actual value signal indicating the amount of torque being applied by that motor to the respective ring gear. The comparator compares this actual-value signal with a set point coming from a single set-point generator and varies the motor speed in accordance with the difference between these two signals.
