  • Patent number: 5226527
Abstract: A switch actuator for an upright vacuum cleaner consists of two elongated rod sections adapted for interconnection by means of a barbed clevis at the end of one of the sections adapted for engaging a receptacle at the end of the other section. One of the sections is maintained within an upper handle portion and the other within a lower handle portion of the vacuum cleaner. As the two handle portions are interconnected, interconnection of the actuator rod sections is automatically effectuated. The actuator rod section maintained in the upper handle portion is also adapted to receive an actuator button which has a connector passing through a slot in the vacuum cleaner handle. The button remains external to the vacuum cleaner handle, while the connector portion thereof extends internally thereof and mates with one of the actuator rod sections.

  • Patent number: 4435243
Abstract: The depositor device is an attachment for and is combined with known ATM-type depositories for banking deposits energized by customer identification bank credit cards which are used for verifying the customer's identity. The depositor prints on an adhesive label stuck after printing onto the deposit-containing envelope entered into the depository, information entered into the ATM control system by the customer concerning the amount of the deposit, the customer's checking and/or savings account numbers, the customer's personal identification number, the time and date of the deposit, etc. Such information is necessary or desirable for the rapid processing by the bank of the deposit transaction. The label is on a label supply carrying strip when printed, and is peeled from the carrying strip and stuck onto the deposit-containing envelope, which may contain coin, as the envelope moves through the depositor.

  • Patent number: 3954260
Abstract: A rotary suction device selectively removes individual paper money or currency bills or banknotes endwise from a stack or bundle thereof and delivers each removed bill endwise to conveyor means which successively, individually transports the bills to a dispensing station. Sensor means detects the presence of multiple bills on the suction rotor during removal from the stack; and, before delivery of any bills in multiple to the conveyor means, the multiple bills are rejected and bypass-discharged directly from the suction rotor to a reject station. A plurality of rotary suction devices may be installed side by side to deliver bills in various denominations, such as 1, 5, 10 and 20 dollar bills.
