  • Patent number: 6440348
Abstract: The invention seeks to provide an improved method for producing umbrella-type insulators comprising a core which is configured as a full body or a hollow cavity and umbrellas connected thereto, whereby problem-free de-moulding of said umbrella-type elements is guaranteed despite the fact that a vacuum is formed. This is achieved by fact that the mould (5) is used with at least one valve (8) which is arranged laterally and which extends as far as the surface (4.2) of the umbrella elements or sleeve (4). Immediately after the beginning or during axial movement of the mould (5) away from the umbrella-type element (3) with a sleeve (4), a gas medium is automatically introduced into the cavity (9) which is formed between the core (2) and umbrella-type element (3) with a sleeve (4) and the mould (5) or the valve (S) opens under the effect of traction or pressure and the gaseous medium is thus introduced into the hollow cavity (9).

  • Patent number: 4700905
Abstract: An arrangement for tape winding machines for the compensation of a unilateral tape tension of tapes to be wound which can be easily attached to a winding machine or integrated into the same. This is achieved in that the arrangement consists of a compensating roller (6) provided between a transfer roller (4) and a fixedly arranged delivery edge or a brake guide roller (3), as viewed in the direction of movement of the tape. The compensating roller (6) is freely movably supported in a guidance (10, 10') in such a manner that the axis of rotation (7) of the compensating roller (6) can tilt from its position parallel to the plane formed between the transfer roller (4) and the delivery edge, respectively, guide roller (3) and is able to subject the tape (1) to a torsional force (twisting) corresponding to the unilateral tape tension.

  • Patent number: 4697752
Abstract: A coil winding machine with a coil clamping and rotating mechanism for a coil to be clamped-in horizontally which is to be so constructed that the finished-wound coil with great length and/or great weight can be easily removed from above by means of a crane or a trolley hoist and then carried away. This is achieved in that the winding material feed devices (12, 13, 14) are arranged at a common bearer (10) and are pivotally supported together with the bearer about an axis (11) disposed to the rear of the coil rotating axis (15) in such a manner that the transfer or guide rollers (16, 17, 18) are adapted to be pivoted out of the space (20) that exists vertically above the coil (19), and the coil (19) can then be removed vertically in the upward direction.
