  • Patent number: 5615861
Abstract: A throttle device having a throttle-flap connection piece which is produced from plastic. For an efficient production of the throttle-flap connection piece form plastic in the plastic injection-molding technique, it is necessary to avoid undesirable shrinkage in the pivoting region of the throttle flap and to seal off the bearing arrangements against penetrating plastic during the injection operation. The throttle device includes an annular insertion part which is arranged in the pivoting region of the throttle flap and which, connected to the bearing arrangements is embedded into the throttle-flap connection piece made form plastic, in order to protect the bearing arrangement against penetrating plastic. The injected-round insertion part is suitable for throttle devices which are made from plastic and which are provided for mixture-compressing spark-ignition or air-compressing auto-ignition internal-combustion engines.

  • Patent number: 5575256
Abstract: A throttle-valve housing of plastic has a metal insert which achieves dimensional stability in the region of the throttle valve. The throttle-valve housing is formed of plastic with a cavity bounded by an inner wall surface. In the wall there is arranged a metal insert which is covered on all sides by the plastic material and effects a stabilization of the plastic material, so that distorting, shrinking or the like is prevented and dimensional accuracy of the inner wall surface is ensured. The novel throttle-valve housing is simple to produce and has a high dimensional stability in spite of being formed from plastic material. The throttle-valve housing is suitable for internal-combustion engines of motor vehicles.

  • Patent number: 5040399
Abstract: A method of fabricating box section from steel with walls of non-uniform thickness along its periphery. A starting product in the form of round tubing with a wall that is uniformly thick along its circumference is manufactured and rolled into box section with walls of uniform thickness along its periphery. A temperature difference is generated between the flange midsections and the web midsections of the box section with walls of uniform thickness along its periphery such that the flange midsections are at least 600.degree. C. hotter than the web midsections, the flanges are edged and thickened peripendicular to the longitudinal axis of the box section, with the edge length being shortened, by rollers, and the box section is finally cooled with air and/or water subject to standardization conditions.

  • Patent number: 4821300
Abstract: A roller counter, which can be reset to zero position via its axis has, for the purpose of stepping its digit rollers, a lock pawl swivellably supported on a side wall of the digit rollers for being swivelled around a pin. A pestle, serving the purpose of zero setting, is supported for swivelling movement around a second pin on the digit roller and cooperates with a stop on the axis. The locking pawl and the pestle each are spring-loaded to a predetermined degree by a leg of a leaf spring bent to V-shape. The leaf spring is held on the digit roller by means of a mounting including walls accompanying both legs of the leaf spring at the inner side and at the outer side and contacting the legs according to a surface-to-surface contact.
