  • Patent number: 6039700
Abstract: A plug and socket assembly for the extension of a guidewire with an extension wire. The plug is formed at the distal end of the extension wire and the socket is formed at the proximal end of the guidewire. Inside the socket is a female conical screw thread and outside the plug is a conical male screw thread. Assembly is obtained by mere insertion and screwing of conical male screw thread into conical female screw thread.

  • Patent number: 5891055
Abstract: The guide wire of this invention is especially suited for the percutaneous introduction of a balloon dilatation catheter into a blood vessel. It contains a flexible shaft with a proximal portion and a distal portion. A flexible helical coil assembly surrounds the distal portion of the shaft. The helical coil assembly has a radiographically visible distal helical coil and a proximal radiographically invisible helical coil. The proximal helical coil and the distal helical coil are attached to each other by a connecting helical coil that on one end is screwed into the proximal helical coil and on the other end is screwed into the distal helical coil.

  • Patent number: 5664692
Abstract: A mobile crane includes a releasable coupling for connecting the upper and lower carriages together in a simple and rapid manner through a holding ring connected with the lower carriage and an axial cylindrical ring extension of an externally toothed ring which is rotatably mounted on the upper carriage. Both the holding ring and the ring extension are provided with ribs which interlock to transmit relative rotation and easily de-couple. A bayonet joint type of coupler ensures reliable coupling of the externally toothed ring with the holding ring.
