  • Publication number: 20130020244
Abstract: A filter press including a top plate and an end plate that are connected by at least one connecting rod with the interposition of a packet of chamber plates. Between adjacent pairs of chamber plates, a respective filter chamber can be produced and a clamping device is provided, which is able to bring the chamber plates into an operating position in which the filter chambers are pressed against one another in a sealed fashion and to release the chamber plates into an open position in which the filter chambers are openable, wherein a removable spacer plate and a clamping device in the form of a pressing unit that can be acted on with a working fluid are provided between the top plate and the end plate.

  • Patent number: 6694706
Abstract: The invention relates to a facility and method for filling product receptacles (1), especially cartons, with a predetermined amount of products (2), especially flexible bag packaging, which are individually fed at regular or irregular intervals and assembled to form a group of products (11) and which are subsequently fed to an available product receptacle (1). The products (2) in the group of products (11) can be selectively placed on or under the preceding product. The group of products (11) can be selectively fed to the product receptacles (1) vertically or horizontally.

  • Patent number: 5729871
Abstract: A device for securing wraparound packaging material includes a locking strap element formed with an elastic arm extending into an insertion channel of the locking element and a tightening element which is formed with a pivotal handle swingable between an open position of the arm of the strap element and a closed position of the arm defining securing of the wraparound material.

  • Patent number: 5244942
Abstract: The invention concerns a homogenous, in particular multicolored plastic sheet or panel, based on ethylene vinyl acetate copolymer (EVA) as binder with a filler content of 30 to 80 wt. % and a process for producing it. In other embodiments the binder contains, in addition to the 70 to 85 wt. % of EVA, polypropylenes to improve the processability (tendency to adhere), EPDM to improve the flexibility, and polyethylenes to reduce the tendency to soiling. In the process described, several additives, each consisting of a binder containing at least some ethylene vinyl acetate copolymer, up to 80 wt. % of fillers and up to 5 wt. % of pigments, are mixed, plasticized and granulated or comminuted to form granules or chips of assorted colours which are mixed and, possibly after other processing operations, pressed to form the plastic web or plates.

  • Patent number: 4888145
Abstract: A process for the production of thick synthetic resin sheets having a multicolor pattern, involves processing heated thermoplastic chips into a coherent sheet by means of a pair of rolls profiled to a depth of about 0.1-0.5 mm which effect partially differing densification.

  • Patent number: 4503944
Abstract: A device for cooling the wheels of motor vehicles which are equipped with disc brakes mounted on the wheels between the wheel centers and a cover plate. The rotors of the disc brakes are fastened to the wheel flange of the wheel hub by a pot-shaped part which delimits radially an annular space opening in the direction of the cover plate. The cover plate is provided with openings through which a cooling air stream can enter the wheel space containing the brake. The wheel center is provided with openings near a rim portion thereof through which air can escape from the outer annular space left between the brake and wheel center. The annular space communicates through a space between the rim and the brake with an annular space delimited by the remaining space and the cover plate in the axial direction.

  • Patent number: 4405539
Abstract: A process for the production of patterned tiles from thermoplastic synthetic resins includes the steps of forming a length of crude sheet stock by compressing unicolored and/or differently colored or multicolored particulate material of thermoplastic synthetic resin; cutting off crude sheets from the sheet stock; punching segments out of the crude sheets; combining the segments from at least two crude sheets of differing colors into a panel so that the segments complement one another, and thereafter press-molding the segments to form an intarsia tile with the use of pressure and heat so that the segments are welded together along joints formed therebetween.

  • Patent number: 4396566
Abstract: A process for the continuous manufacture of sheeting from thermoplastic synthetic resins includes the steps of applying thermoplastic synthetic resin, in the form of particles, such as shreds, crumbs, cuttings, pieces, chips, or the like, continuously as a sheet-like layer of raw material to a moving support; passing the raw material layer through a heating zone to thereby preheat the material layer to a temperature approximately in the range from 100.degree. to 140.degree. C.; pressing the preheated material layer continuously over its full area during travel through a treatment zone so that, in a first phase, the raw material layer is compacted and welded under the effect of a pressure of from about 10 to 60 kp/cm.sup.2 and at the same time the material layer is heated to a temperature in the range from about 160.degree. to 220.degree.
