The cutting edge can be a recessed curve, an angular recess, or a combination of the two. The cutting edge can include one or more of serrations or cutting grit. The cutting head can conform to a variety of work piece geometries and cradle the work piece during cutting to prevent slipping and provide faster cuts by applying a greater proportion of the blade to the work piece at once and retaining the work piece between sides of the recess.

Preferred dietary fiber compositions are soy fiber concentrate, citrus albedo, pineapple core bulking agent and sugar beet pulp bulking agent.
