Abstract: A new multi-step process for dyeing human hair achieving improved coverage and gentle treatment of the hair and, in addition, allowing the production of numerous hair dye shades using a relatively small number of hair dye compositions, which process consists of the following steps:a) Application of an alkaline oxidation hair dye composition comprising at least one developing substance and at least one coupling substance as well as an oxidizing agent mainly onto that part of the human hair which is next to the scalp, whereby the mixture is adjusted to the hair shade desired for the total dyeing result;b) rinsing and shampooing of the hair after completed processing of the dyeing composition;c) application of an acidic oxidation hair dye composition comprising at least one developing and at least one coupling agent as well as an oxidizing agent, to the total hair, andd) rinsing of the hair after complete processing of the hair dye.

Abstract: Hair dye compositions without sensitizing potential but with improved dyeing properties for all shades comprise only 2-(2'-hydroxyethylamino)5-aminotoluene or the salts thereof as developing agent, or preferably in combination with the usual coupling agents, excluding 1-methoxy-2,4-diaminobenzene and 1-ethoxy-2,4-diaminobenzene.

Abstract: Hair dye composition comprising at least one triaminohydroxypyrimidine and (or) diaminodihydroxypyrimidine as developing substance, and as coupling agent 3-amino-2-methylamino-6-methoxypyridine or salts thereof, on its own or in admixture with other coupling agents. Application of this composition in admixture with an oxidant onto human hair provides excellent natural-looking hair colorations.

Abstract: A set of apparatus for preparing cosmetic multi-component preparations from at least two preparation components of which at least one is liquid and the other in paste or liquid form, having a pump which can be inserted into the dispensing orifice of a first supply container containing the liquid first preparation component, the suction connection thereof being immersed in the preparation component contained in the supply container and its discharge connection being so formed that it can be sealingly connected to a self-closing bottom valve of a mixing container serving for receiving and mixing of the multi-component preparation. A pressure container is provided, in which a second supply container is disposed which is volume-variable, is filled with the additional paste or liquid preparation component and is connected to an external dispensing valve. The space remaining between the second supply container and the inside walls of the pressure container is filled with a propellant under pressure.
