  • Patent number: 5271155
Abstract: A motor driven hand circular saw has a base plate arranged to be positioned over a workpiece, and a saw blade which is displaceable parallel and tiltably about a turning axle relative to the base plate for performing inclined or bevel cuts so that by tilting of the saw blade relative to the base plate about the axle, the saw blade and the axle are displaced parallel to the base plate with a stroke which is proportional to a respective tilting angle transversely to a direction downstream of a cutting point and counteracts a natural displacement of a saw engaging line of the saw blade on the workpiece.

  • Patent number: 5239756
Abstract: A motor-driven hand circular saw, has a base plate, a motor, a drive housing surrounding the motor, a saw blade provided with saw teeth and being in operative connection with the motor, a saw blade housing accommodating the saw blade, an upwardly movable saw shaft having the saw blade, a hinge arranged so that the drive housing together with saw blade is movable upwardly and downwardly normal to the saw shaft with respect to the base plate for cutting depth adjustment. The saw blade is movable in and out. A turning hinge having a turning axis extends in a feed direction so that the saw blade housing is connected through the turning hinge with the base plate, and there is at least one upper and lower handle with respect to the base plate. The saw blade housing with the saw blade is located at the left and the drive housing is located at the right as considered in the feed direction. The hinge for cutting depth adjustment is arranged at the front side of the base plate as considered in the feed direction.

  • Patent number: 5146682
Abstract: A hand-held circular saw is designed so that a fan exhaust air from a fan wheel is introduced into a sawdust duct along the shortest path in a duct arranged inside a gearing housing, in order to reinforce a conveying of saw dust in the sawdust duct. The fan air is fed parallel to the movement direction of the sawdust, effects a vacuum in the sawdust duct and prevents stoppage of the duct.

  • Patent number: 4564181
Abstract: A bench includes a rigid frame and a work board pivotable to and away from the frame. The work board can be brought into a rest position and into a plurality of operating positions and can be in at least two operating positions supported by an arm movably supported on the frame. The arm is pivotable with respect to the frame in a horizontal plane. The arm can carry at its free end a clamping device. The structure of the bench increases a range of clamping a work piece on the bench over the length of the work board.

  • Patent number: 4509731
Abstract: A workbench (1) has a removable vise (3) and a workplate (5) separate from the vise and provided with apertures (6) for clamping elements. A jaw assembly (15) having a fixed vise jaw (16) and likewise a jaw assembly (17) equipped with an adjustable jaw (18) can be screwed onto a vise base (14) so as to resist all twisting forces. The screw fastenings (28 to 30) are such that they can also serve to attach the jaw assemblies to the workplate (5), using the apertures (6) in the latter for that purpose. The vise as a whole can be mounted in a rotary seat (2) where its mandrel (13) can be clamped at different levels and rotary positions, with the further possibility of having the rotary position fixed in the lowest position of the vise in a manner suitable for maintaining parallelism with another rotary vise similarly mounted (not shown in figure).

  • Patent number: 4083571
Abstract: A drill chuck arrangement for connecting a drill bit to a spindle of a drilling machine comprises a spindle member threaded onto the spindle, and a jaw-actuating member mounted at least in part about the spindle member for concentric turning about the latter. A plurality of opposed clamping jaws are movable towards and away from each other in response to the aforementioned concentric turning. The spindle member has a radial bore which receives a portion of an actuating tool having beveled gear means. Upon turning the tool, the beveled gear meshes with a cooperating gear on the jaw-actuating member so as to turn the same relative to the spindle member, and thereby clamp or release a drill bit inserted in between the clamping jaws. A bushing is provided intermediate the spindle member and the jaw-actuating member to prevent binding between these members.

  • Patent number: 4073348
Abstract: An impact drilling power tool has a housing, a spindle element mounted in the housing for rotation about an axis and for displacement in axial direction, and an impact element mounted in the housing for displacement axially toward and away from the spindle element. The impact element has an axially arranged extension coaxially received within a blind bore of the spindle element. The impact element has a plurality of cam surfaces provided on helical radial projections of the impact element, and rolling bodies of a cam follower element contact the respective cam surfaces and displace the impact element against the force of coaxial helical springs until encountering interruptions of the projections, upon which the springs rapidly displace the impact element toward the spindle element and an end face of the axial extension impacts the bottom of the blind bore. An output shaft of a driving motor drives a countershaft and via the same and meshing gears also the impact element and the spindle element.

  • Patent number: 3955628
Abstract: A driven output shaft is mounted in a housing and has freedom of limited axial displacement between a first and a second position. A biasing spring permanently biases the output shaft to the first position. An impact member surrounds the output shaft and has a plurality of angularly spaced first axial projections which interdigitate with angularly spaced second axial projections provided on a disk member axially fixed on and turnably surrounding the output shaft. A retaining arrangement is provided in the housing and is engageable with the disk member to prevent rotation of the same when an axial force is exerted upon the output shaft counter to the action of the biasing spring, causing axial displacement of the output shaft to the second position thereof, and engagement of the disk member with the retaining arrangement.
