  • Patent number: 8228926
Abstract: Methods and apparatus for dynamically loading signaling definition files for operations involving multiple signaling variants. Transmission links that transmit communications corresponding to one of several signaling variants are associated with one of several signaling definition files, where each signaling definition file corresponds to one of the signaling variants and, thus, can be employed during switching, signaling, and other processing of the communications without requiring such processing to be specifically hard-coded, or even designed, for each individual signaling variant.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: January 18, 2006
Date of Patent: July 24, 2012
    Assignee: Genband US LLC
Inventors: Daniel Miller, Heriberto Aguirre, Ahmed Doleh
  • Patent number: 8213414
Abstract: The subject matter described herein includes methods, systems, and computer program products for providing TDM terminating services in a packet network. According to one method, a combined set including a plurality of TDM channels is received over a packet network. The combined set of TDM channels is terminated in the packet network as a combined TDM facility. Terminating the TDM channels as a combined TDM facility may include providing at least one terminating TDM service for the TDM channels, such as performing CAS signaling or providing a PRI interface for the TDM channels.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: February 21, 2006
Date of Patent: July 3, 2012
    Assignee: Genband US LLC
Inventors: Hao Hou, Philip Abraham, Eric Chien-Chung Chang, Heriberto Aguirre
