Publication number: 20070145626Abstract: A method for the production of plastic parts employs a galvano mold arranged in a rotatable housing. The galvano mold is heated to the melting temperature of a plastic by contact with an oil, and thereafter, the housing is reoriented so that the oil is collected underneath the galvano mold, and then it is removed from the housing to cool down the galvano mold. In the housing, the oil is blanketed by an inert gas, such as nitrogen, and the inert gas is introduced with overpressure into the housing, while the oil is simultaneously drawn from the housing into a storage tank having an inert gas atmosphere at a reduced pressure. The oil is heated again, as needed, and returned into the housing for the next production cycle.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 13, 2006Publication date: June 28, 2007Inventor: Hermann Bartels

Publication number: 20020079616Abstract: Disclosed is a process for producing plastic parts, in which, with the aid of a heat-exchange medium, a mold is heated to the melting temperature of the plastic. As a result of rotation of a housing that carries the mold, the heat-exchange medium is brought repeatedly to the rear side of the mold and removed again. The heat-exchange medium used according to the invention is a thermally stable oil bath. The thermally stable oil is led through the feed line into the housing and contacts with the whole area of the rear of the mold. An inert gas blankets the oil in the housing. The oil is moved substantially turbulently as a result of the housing being rotated. The plastic powder is then applied to the mold in a manner known per se.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 25, 2001Publication date: June 27, 2002Inventor: Hermann Bartels

Patent number: 5505068Abstract: In a method and apparatus for shaping hollow-section workpieces such as tubes of metal, the workpiece is introduced into a pressing mold whose internal contour corresponds to the workpiece shape to be produced. After closure of the pressing mold a pressure medium in the form of solid matter particles or elements such as steel balls is pressed by means of a bar into the workpiece, applying it against the internal contour of the pressure mold. In that operation an upsetting movement of the workpiece is superimposed on the bar movement. The bar can be pressed into the workpiece in two or more steps, in which case the pressure medium is further advanced by means of a pressure cylinder between the respective steps after a respective withdrawal movement of the bar.Type: GrantFiled: March 25, 1994Date of Patent: April 9, 1996Inventor: Hermann Bartels

Patent number: 4900493Abstract: A method and apparatus for the production of a synthetic resin skin uses a mold for forming at least two separate skin sections which are then joined prior or after a final heat treatment. The synthetic resin skin sections are produced in at least two separate mold members, and the skin sections are then caused to contact each other along determined faces or margins which are joined under light pressure. Any so-called selvage is easily removed after the joining which intimately bonds the skin sections to each other due to the curing of the synthetic resin.Type: GrantFiled: June 2, 1986Date of Patent: February 13, 1990Assignee: YMOS Aktiengesellschaft IndustrieprodukteInventors: Hermann A. Bartels, Erich M. Christoph, Ruediger Leipnitz

Patent number: 4843849Abstract: A motor vehicle door lock is equipped for cooperation with a central locking system able to lock all doors of a vehicle from a single control. The lock also has a pull closed mechanism which is driven by the same motor driving the locking elements in response to a signal from the central locking system. The pull closed mechanism cooperates with a fork latch for bringing the fork latch from a preliminary latching position into a main or final latching position, whereby door slamming for properly closing a vehicle door is not necessary. It is now sufficient if the user closes the door so that the fork latch is in its preliminary latching position since the present invention mechanism will then close the vehicle door completely.Type: GrantFiled: September 5, 1986Date of Patent: July 4, 1989Assignee: Dr. Ing. h.c. Patent number: 4606868Abstract: A thin-walled work piece of plastics material is cast in a mold by pouring or flowing the plastics material in the form of a plastisol or a flowable powder into a preheated casting mold which is locked to a casting container in a sealed manner to form a closed casting cavity. The mold and the container are then lifted or rotated through at least 180.degree.. A reduced pressure is maintained in the cavity at least prior and during the tilting. After a predetermined time the reduced pressure is removed and the mold and container are tilted back into the starting position. The mold and container are then separated again and the mold is then heated for completion of the jelling or curing whereupon the mold is cooled for removing the work piece from the mold.Type: GrantFiled: June 18, 1984Date of Patent: August 19, 1986Assignee: Ymos Aktiengesellschaft IndustrieprodukteInventors: Erich M. Patent number: 4333356Abstract: A mixing apparatus utilizes piston burettes driven by stepping motors as metering pumps to deliver component liquids to be mixed into a liquid stream in a selectable constant mixing ratio. A computer-based automatic control system is used to control the regulated take up of the respective components by the burettes and the delivery of them to a mixing device. The computer calculates the rates of stepping of the respective motors so that each component is delivered over the same period of time and at a respective uniform rate. The computer also controls associated switching valves via an interface device and may be a desk top machine with keyboard or pre-programmed data input.Type: GrantFiled: April 15, 1980Date of Patent: June 8, 1982Assignee: Ciba-Geigy CorporationInventors: Hermann Bartels, Hans-Christian Mez, Walter Huber, Hans-Peter Stolz

Patent number: 4253320Abstract: The present magnetic lock is operated by a key including control magnets. For this purpose a locking bar is radially shiftable in a locking cylinder in a housing. Magnetic rotors release or lock the locking bar which is spring biased toward the magnetic rotors. A spring biased control member is shiftable into a locking channel of the locking bar. The control member is equipped with entraining elements which engage the locking bar.Type: GrantFiled: July 23, 1979Date of Patent: March 3, 1981Assignee: YMOS-Metallwerke Wolf & Becker GmbH & Co.Inventors: Dittmar Schwab, Hermann Bartels, Walter Graf
