Patent number: 4825750Abstract: A vacuum breaking-force booster has a sequential control valve without a response path. First and second pressure chambers are separated by a diaphragm with a diaphragm disk in it and the diaphragm disk is connected with a shaft that supports a radially inward valve seat which presses against a spring biased sealing disk. Communication between the first and second chambers is past the inner valve seat. A shiftable sleeve extends through the lid of the first of the chambers and includes a collar which engages the inside of the lid for determining the maximum extend the sleeve can move out of the lid. A pressure piston extends through the sleeve. A bridge connects the sleeve with the pressure piston for moving together. An elastomeric bellows attaches the sealing disk to the sleeves and the pressure piston; the outer valve seat is defined on the sleeve for engaging the sealing disk. A spring normally urges the sealing disk toward both of the valve seats.Type: GrantFiled: July 2, 1985Date of Patent: May 2, 1989Assignee: FAG Kugelfischer Georg Schafer (KGaA)Inventors: Eckhart Rudiger, Hermann Bauer

Patent number: 4531452Abstract: A transmitter cylinder is used in a hydraulic system and particularly the ake system of an automotive vehicle. To prevent undesired access into the transmitter cylinder, a lock part is installed at the pedal facing end of the cylinder. The lock part is an annulus. The pedal connected piston extends through the lock part and into the transmitter cylinder. The annular lock part is shaped so that its inner bore will guide and center the piston projecting into the cylinder. A locking element for holding the lock part in the cylinder bore is defined. It is either a radial projection from the lock part or it is a retaining ring held in a groove on the exterior of the lock part. In either case, the locking element projects into a groove defined in the interior of the cylinder bore, which retains the lock part in the cylinder bore against undesired extraction. The lock part may be a hollow annulus or a solid body. The lock part is appropriately configured to permit its extraction with appropriate tools.Type: GrantFiled: November 23, 1983Date of Patent: July 30, 1985Assignee: FAG Kugelfischer Georg Schafer, Kommanditgesellschaft auf AktienInventors: Norbert Spielmann, Hermann Bauer
