  • Publication number: 20170145846
Abstract: Disclosed is a brush sealing arrangement for a turbomachine, comprising at least one stator, one rotor and one brush seal. The brush seal comprises at least one brush element and one ring for receiving the brush element. The brush sealing arrangement seals a gap between the stator and the rotor. The ring is connected to the stator by means of a press-fit. The ring comprises a first material having a first thermal expansion coefficient and at least a portion of the stator comprises for receiving the ring a second material having a second thermal expansion coefficient. Also disclosed are an installation securing arrangement comprising the brush sealing arrangement and a turbomachine.

  • Patent number: 9587499
Abstract: An inner ring of a fluid flow machine includes fixing rings and seal carriers split into at least two fixing ring segments and into at least two seal carrier segments, respectively. The fixing ring segments and the seal carrier segments are arranged with the respective end faces facing each other. A first fixing ring segment has a first ring segment shoulder and a second fixing ring segment has an offset second ring segment shoulder. A first seal carrier segment has a first carrier segment shoulder, and a second seal carrier segment has a second carrier segment shoulder, which is offset with respect to the first carrier segment shoulder. In a separation plane of the inner ring, the first carrier segment shoulder abuts the second ring segment shoulder at the end face. Also in the separation plane, the second carrier segment shoulder abuts the first ring segment shoulder at the end face.

  • Patent number: 6199915
Abstract: A connector element is provided for tubing or hoses of elastically expandable material with a tubular part of inelastic material that can be inserted tightly sealed into a tubing or hose end and that features a so-called pine-cone or thorn profile. In order to simplify the handling and to improve the sealing effect, this connector element has an axially extending cylindrical area with an outer diameter matched to the inner diameter of the tubing or hose end at the front end of the tubular part. A circumferential groove, rectangular in cross section, into which an annular seal of noncircular cross section is arranged is formed in the cylindrical area.

  • Patent number: 4822372
Abstract: An improved process for tanning leather by treating animal skins with a water-soluble melamine-formaldehyde resin in the presence of an acid catalyst towards the end is improved by using a melamine-formaldehyde resin which is at least partially etherified with a glycol ether, alkyl glycol ether, or both.

  • Patent number: 4810252
Abstract: Use of a resin mixture of, or of a mixed resin from, a melamine-formaldehyde resin and an anionically modified melamine-formaldehyde resin for tanning leather. The anionic modification of the melamine-formaldehyde resin is obtained by preparing the resin in the presence of alkali metal sulfite, alkali metal hydrogensulfite or alkali metal sulfamate. By partial modification it is possible to obtain a mixed resin, while mixing a modified with an unmodified resin gives a resin mixture.
