    Abstract: The pressing plunger mechanism (1) has at least one pressing plunger (72) which in normal operation can be moved axially in a reciprocating manner together with a pressing plunger receiver (71) between an inoperative position and a pressing position. A piston rod (60; 61) of a piston (58; 59) is fastened to each pressing plunger receiver (71), which piston can be displaced in a cylinder (56; 57) of a pressing plunger holder (45; 46). A piston surface (74) facing away from the pressing plunger (72) is acted upon by a compressed fluid (83). The pressing plunger holder (45; 46) can be moved axially in a reciprocating manner by a first drive (9) and is connected in a non-rotatable manner to a threaded spindle (17). A nut (21) which can be rotationally driven by the first drive (9) is engaged with the threaded spindle (17) and is coupled (19) to a driven shaft (15) of an angular gear (14).

A freely rotatable roller (32) which is disposed on one end of a crank (28) engages in a groove (34) of the guide piece which extends in a perpendicular manner with respect to the two guide rods (36), wherein the crank (28) can rotate about an axis (8) which extends in parallel with the axis of the roller (32).

Subsequent to the contact point (11) each hollow glass object (7) is pushed further by the push-off unit by a further linear path portion (12) in the movement direction (6) of the conveyor belt (5) as far as a release point (13) in which the push-off unit is released from the hollow glass object (7). The push-off unit is then moved back to the starting point (8).

    Abstract: The gob distributor (1) for a plurality of sections of a glass forming machine has at least one scoop channel which can be pivoted in a reciprocating manner about a vertical axis. A lower end of each scoop channel can be successively orientated, by the pivoting motion, so as to be aligned with a channel system leading to the respective section. An annular pinion (58, 59, 60) is disposed coaxially and in a driving connection with an upper end of each scoop channel. A drive has an electric servomotor which is connected to the at least one annular pinion (58, 59, 60) via a gear mechanism. The gear mechanism comprises: A screw (44) which can be rotationally driven in a reciprocating manner by the electric servomotor, a worm wheel engaged with the screw (44), and a toothed wheel (53) which is non-rotational and coaxial with respect to the worm wheel. The toothed wheel (53) is in a driving connection with the at least one annular pinion (58, 59, 60) by means of intermediate wheels (54, 55).

    Abstract: The apparatus comprises at least one plunger (2) and a plunger holder (3) which can be raised and lowered. An arm (18) of a tilt lever (17) is coupled to the plunger holder (3). A link member (22) of a drive system (23) cooperates with the other arm (20) of the tilt lever. The link member (22) is adjustable along said other arm (20) in order to change the stroke of the plunger. The drive system (23) comprises an electric servodrive with a take-off shaft (13), the drive being connected to the link member (22) and being controllable by electronic control means. The link member (22) is arranged on a tie rod (26) which at one free end is coupled (28) to a pivot lever (27) which is mounted fixedly in relation to the apparatus. At a central coupling point (30) of the pivot lever (27) is coupled a push rod (32) whose other end is coupled to a crank (14) of the take-off shaft (13).

On each neck tool holder is secured a movable part of a distribution device for cooling air. A stationary part of the distribution device transfers cooling air from a stationary supply device having a valve. Between the stationary and movable parts there is a jointing gap which is inclined to the vertical. The cooling air is blown through nozzle apertures against the outside of the neck tool half.

    Abstract: Each glass gob is severed by a shear blade pair (6; 9). The shear blades (7, 8; 10, 11) are arranged on shear arms (12, 13) whose movement is synchronized with each other by means of a gear mechanism (16) A first shear arm (12) is drivable pivotably by a drive means (36), while a second shear arm (13) is supported by an air spring (28). The drive means (36) is carried on a carriage (39) which is displaceable by piston-cylinder units (48, 49). The drive means (36) drives a crank pin (43) which is connected by means of a coupling rod (44) with the first shear arm (12). By displacement of the carriage (39) one achieves a servicing stroke (34) which is greater than the working stroke (32) of the shears.
