  • Patent number: 7951258
Abstract: Method and arrangement for manufacturing core composite layer workpieces (sandwich structures) from at least one first and at least one second cover sheet (1, 2) between which a core sheet (30) including especially short cut fibers (9) is provided, are disclosed with which a continuous and substantially break free manufacture can be conducted which leads to composite layer structures with reasonable costs. Single manufacturing parameters can specifically be varied with different embodiments so that in a relatively simple manner composite layer structures with desired physical properties can be obtained, for example with respect to their strength, stiffness, flexibility, mechanical and acoustic absorption capabilities, working properties, and so on. Composite layer structures for new applications can be manufactured as well.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: September 29, 2004
Date of Patent: May 31, 2011
    Assignee: Lamera AB
Inventors: Jerry Karlsson, Heinrich Planck, Thomas Stegmaier, Hermann Finckh

  • Patent number: 5269130
Abstract: A gas and steam turbine plant has a gas turbine producing exhaust gas, a water-steam loop in which water is preheated at a given high pressure and subsequently evaporated, a steam turbine in the water-steam loop, and a steam generator through which the exhaust gas flows for generating steam for the steam turbine. The steam generator has at least one preheater connected to the water-steam loop and a high-pressure heater connected downstream of at least one preheater. The water-steam loop has a partial loop connected parallel to the at least one preheater outside the steam generator for carrying an adjustable throughput quantity. A heat exchanger is disposed in the steam generator in the vicinity of the at least one preheater for removing usable heat.

  • Patent number: 4445325
Abstract: Installation for generating superheated steam from raw water containing salt using preheaters for heating the raw water. The last preheater, as seen in the flow direction of the raw water, is followed via a control valve by a decompression cylinder. Part of the raw water evaporates and the vapor is withdrawn from the dome of the decomposition cylinder by a compressor which compresses and heats it and discharges it as superheated steam.

  • Patent number: 4340820
Abstract: Apparatus and method for the partial load operation of a combined gas turbine and steam turbine plant, including a shaft being connected to the gas turbine and drivable at a given nominal speed of rotation, a first generator being connected to the shaft and electrically connectible to an electric network, a compressor being connected to the shaft and connected upstream of the gas turbine in gas flow direction, a heat exchanger having an output and a variable heat supply and being connected upstream of the gas turbine in gas flow direction, a steam generator for the steam turbine being connected downstream of the gas turbine in gas flow direction for receiving exhaust gases therefrom, a second generator being connected to the steam turbine and electrically connectible to the electric network for supplying given nominal power thereto along with the first generator, means for giving to the electric network and taking away from the network at least part of the nominal power if the shaft rotates at less than the n

  • Patent number: 4259836
Abstract: A solar power plant with a gas turbine circuit, having a compressor, a solar heater, a combustion chamber for heating air compressed in the compressor, a turbine and a generator, the solar heater and the combustion chamber being connected between the compressor and the turbine, and a valve for connecting and disconnecting the solar heater to the circuit, the combustion chamber having double walls defining an outer space between the walls and an inner space, the outer space of the combustion chamber being connected in series with the solar heater upstream thereof, in flow direction of the compressed air, the inner space of the combustion chamber being connected downstream of the solar heater in flow direction of the compressed air, and the valve connecting the outer space and the inner space of the combustion chamber to each other.

  • Patent number: 3936651
Abstract: A turboset located in an engine room containing a helium atmosphere under overpressure includes a generator cooled by helium which is introduced therein through openings formed in the generator housing and flows through a connecting line to a location of the helium circulatory loop that has a gas pressure lower than the internal gas pressure of the chamber.
