Abstract: A pushing handle for a manually operated machine, in particular for a sweeping machine, with at least one machine-side connecting device, is provided, where the pushing handle is designed with a handle-side connecting device. The pushing handle is swivellably mountable on the machine-side connecting device of the machine by way of the handle-side connecting device, and the machine-side and the handle-side connecting devices are designed with a bush and an insertion pin corresponding to one another. Alternatively, a pushing handle is described having two handle-side connecting devices for mounting the handle to the machine at one height. A sweeping machine with a pushing handle of the described types is also provided.

Abstract: A sweeping machine includes a housing, at least one circular broom disposed on the housing so as to be rotatable about an essentially vertical axis of rotation, and at least one roller supported on a ground. The roller is disposed in the housing of the sweeping machine by way of an axle bracket concentric with respect to the circular broom so that the roller may be rotated about the essentially vertical axis of rotation. A rolling movement of the roller along the ground is transmitted to the circular broom so that the circular broom rotates about the essentially vertical axis of rotation. Devices, which convert a rotating movement of the roller about the essentially vertical axis of rotation to an axial relative movement between the roller and the housing, are provided. The method and machine improve the running smoothness of the sweeping machine.

Abstract: A hand-operated sweeping machine having two circular brooms mounted in the front area, a motor drive which rotates the circular brooms, a drive mechanism which transfers a driving force derived from the forward motion of the sweeping machine to drive the circular brooms when the motor drive is not operating, and an interrupting mechanism which automatically interrupts a connection between the motor drive and the driving mechanism when the motor drive can rotate the circular brooms faster than the driving mechanism. When the motor drive of the sweeping machine is inoperative, as when there is no electricity available to operate an electric motor drive, the sweeping machine may be operated by the driving mechanism driving the circular brooms. The interrupting mechanism automatically prevents the motor drive when operating from transferring driving force to the driving mechanism and thereby undesirably driving forward motion of the sweeping machine.

In order to prevent damages to the sweeping lip, the forward area which in use contacts the ground during sweeping operations is configured upwardly elasticly deformable by weakening slots provided in reinforcement structure thereof and/or by different elastic characteristics of molded plastic material forming the sweeping lip.

Abstract: A sweeping machine has two circular brooms at the front region of a housing rotating towards the inside in opposing directions. Inside the housing and adjoining a sweeper plate across which the circular brooms sweep, a cylinder broom sweeping in a direction towards the front region is arranged. The cylinder broom picks up the refuse swept by the circular brooms and sweeps up dusty refuse in particular from the ground and throws both of these together backwards into the housing into a refuse container.

Abstract: A manually operated sweeping machine is disclosed having two circular brooms which are laterally arranged in the front area of a housing, rotate toward the inside and sweep over a sweeping lip. These circular brooms are each supported by means of a roller, the shaft holders of which are vertically adjustably held in the housing by means of supporting devices, for the adjustment of the distance between the sweeping lip and the floor. In the case of the state of the art, each supporting device is separately vertically adjustably. In addition, the shaft holders project through the housing into the supporting devices arranged on the exterior side of the housing. In the case of high axial loads on the shaft holders, these can therefore push through the supporting devices in the upward direction. According to the invention, a joint vertical-adjustment device is provided for the supporting devices.

Abstract: A sweeping machine having a housing which comprises two housing parts that can be separated from one another. One housing part is used for the bearing of two circular brooms. The other housing part is constructed as a receptacle for sweepings. An arrangement is provided for detachably connecting the two housing parts which has devices for the centering and devices for the locking of the two housing parts. The connecting of the two housing parts requires relatively high expenditures in the state of the art. The two housing parts are lifted manually, are hung into one another and are pressed together. They are then locked in this pressed-together position by means of a locking lever.

Abstract: A sweeper having at least one laterally arranged side brush rotatably mounted about a rotational axis inclined with respect to the vertical axis of the sweeper and having bristles arranged in a pattern about the rotational axis, and a drive mechanism responsive to the lateral displacement of the sweeper over the surface being swept for rotating the side brush in a predetermined direction of rotation about the rotational axis independently of the direction of lateral displacement of the sweeper.
