  • Publication number: 20240428479
Abstract: A monitoring device (1) with a safety sensor (4) designed for performing a protection field monitoring. A configuration unit (8) is provided for configuring protection fields (7) for the protection field monitoring performed with the safety sensor (4). The configuration unit (8) has a graphical drawing interface (22) in which a graphical information of a hazard region (2) within which a protection field (7) is to be configured is superimposed. Elements of the graphical information are used for configuring the protection field (7).

  • Patent number: 6876457
Abstract: The invention relates to a light grid (1), comprising a predetermined number of pairs of transmitters (7) emitting light rays (6) and receivers (9), which form beam axes, wherein the light rays (6) emitted by the respective transmitter (7) impinge on the receiver (9) if the path of a beam axis is clear. Also provided is a control unit for controlling the transmitters (7) and for evaluating the signals received at the receiver (9) output, wherein an object detection signal can be generated in dependence on the signal received when an object interferes with at least one of the beam axes. A separate bit word is assigned to each beam axis via the control unit, wherein the beam axes can be divided into predetermined regions via at least one bit BLK of the bit words and wherein the object detection mode within this region can be preset by presetting the bit value of at least one additional bit of the bit words for the beam axes within one region.

  • Patent number: 6624751
Abstract: A method for monitoring an entrance to a hazardous area comprising sensing a signal pattern generated by light barriers when an object passes the entrance and comparing the sensed signed pattern with at least one predetermined signal pattern. The object is admissible if the signal patterns are identical and under certain other conditions.

  • Patent number: 6418546
Abstract: A circuit arrangement for testing of a tristate detection circuit has controllable switches (3-6) which simulate the three states: logical “1”, logical “0”, and high-impedance on a terminal (K1). Inputs (P1, P2) from comparators (1, 2) of the detection circuit are set to supply voltage or to ground. Switching of the comparators (1, 2) on and off is checked independently of the state on the terminal (K1).

  • Patent number: 5801376
Abstract: A photoelectric barrier and operation thereof, the barrier having at least two pairs of transmitters/receivers each operating synchronously. Each of the two transmitters transmits a light signal having a specific identifier, the signal being in the form of a double pulse separated by a pause, which double pulse consists of two pulse groups each separated by a pause, and each receiver then evaluates a light signal of the associated transmitter as correctly received when at least one of the two pulse groups is recognized as valid by means of the associated identifier, in which the duration of the pulse groups and the pauses between them are established so that at most one pulse group of one double pulse of the one transmitter is superimposed with one pulse group of one double pulse of the other transmitter.
