  • Publication number: 20110253344
Abstract: A protective structure, comprising a first material region having a surface facing the exterior and an inner boundary surface, wherein channels for conducting fluid are disposed between the outer surface and the inner boundary surface, and a second material region, which is thermally connected at least in sub-regions to the inner boundary surface of the first material region and which is porous, wherein in pores a reaction medium and/or cooling medium is stored and channels for conducting fluid extend as far as the inner boundary surface of the first material region.

  • Publication number: 20090134146
Abstract: In order, on the one hand, to achieve a high mechanical long-term stability of and, on the other hand, to have the possibility of guiding a stream of gas, in particular, a stream of gas consisting of a reactive process gas through a heating block for an apparatus for the thermal treatment of a substrate, in particular, a semiconductor substrate, wherein the apparatus has a space accommodating the substrate and the heating block on at least one side of the space accommodating the substrate, the substrate being treatable thermally by means of the heating block in a mechanically non-contact manner, it is suggested that the heating block be designed as a fiber composite member, that the fiber composite member be designed with passages for a stream of gas passing through it from one flat side to the other flat side.

  • Patent number: 6151887
Abstract: In order to provide a combustion chamber, in particular for a rocket engine, comprising a combustion area, an inner shell surrounding the combustion area, an outer shell surrounding the inner shell and coolant passages formed between the inner shell and the outer shell, the casing of which has an improved thermal stability and an increased mechanical bearing strength, it is suggested in accordance with the invention that the outer shell be formed from a fibrous ceramic material and the inner shell be formed from a fibrous ceramic material or from graphite.

  • Patent number: 5497548
Abstract: To reduce the mass of internally or externally toothed gears, a thin metal ring having internal or external toothing is made and bonded to a ring of fibrous composite material. Furthermore, to make rings for gears having internal or external toothing, fabric hoses of fibrous composite materials having a fibre orientation of .+-.45.degree. are applied in a number of layers in the peripheral direction to the bottom and side flanks of a U-shaped groove-like depression of a rotating production device; the remaining free space in the interior of the applied fabric hose layers is filled with a unidirectionally wound roving, thereby forming an integral ring after the curing or hardening. Moreover, to make rings for gears having internal or external toothing, two thin-walled rings of fabric laminates serving as shear walls and having a fibre orientation of .+-.45.degree.
