  • Patent number: 4806119
Abstract: A cutting/clamping terminal element for electrical conductors (14) is disclosed including a clamping slot (0) defined between a clamping piece (4) and an elastic clamping leg (2,3; 23, 13) to ensure an improved contact connection, such that even conductors (14) having very thin conductor core diameters, in particular wire strands, can be connected, without the conductor cross section being reduced and without there being a risk of conductor breakage. For this purpose, the clamping piece (4) is provided with clamping legs (2,3; 12,13) arranged on its front and rear sides, said clamping legs overlapping in the position of rest the clamping piece (4) at least in part, such that the sharp edges (15,24) of the two clamping legs (2,3; 12,13) and of the clamping piece (4) cut into the insulation (11) and clamp the core (10) of the conductor (14) in the clamping slot (9) at in total three different positions.

  • Patent number: 4434542
Abstract: The invention relates to a tool for the wiring of terminal elements which permits a plurality of separate operations such as connecting and withdrawing of a wire to and from a terminal element, respectively, and severing of the wire, to be carried out, and which may be manufactured at low cost because of its simple structure. To this end the tool comprises a bipartite plastic grip member (3) accommodating a ram (2) and a striker mechanism. On a protruding ram head (2a) there is provided a wire cutter (6) which may be actuated through a pin-and-slot guide (5, 6c) during a connecting operation. Locking means function to releasably connect the ram (2) to a slider (8) accommodated within the grip member (3) so as to be longitudinally movable.

  • Patent number: 4420792
Abstract: The subject-matter of the present invention is a plug-in connector with arresters (1) for separating blocks, comprising a cartridge-type housing (20) of insulating material having receptacles for the arresters (1), each of said arresters being connected through a respective fuse element (11) and an earth contact (3) to an earth strip (7) and being exchangeably retained within the receptacle by means of compression springs (10). In order to obtain a number of advantages with respect to manufacture and operation, such as simple construction and inexpensive manufacture as well as easy manipulation and suitability for two respective tapping contacts per arrester, in the plug-in connector according to the invention the arresters (1) each comprise three electrodes (12, 12', 12") each of which is connected to a contact pin (c, b, a) both mechanically and electrically.
