  • Patent number: 4936019
Abstract: Template (1, 30, 40) for producing one or several cutouts (14, 15) in straps and in ends (12) of watchbands (10) to be attached to a watch (20), especially in ends that have been formed into loops (11). The template (1, 30, 40) exhibits at least one indentation (2, 3, 4, 31, 32, 50) for receiving the end (12) of the watchband (10) to be provided with cutouts (14, 15). At least one slot (5, 6) is arranged in the template (1, 30, 40) in the zone of the indentation (2, 3, 4, 31, 32, 50) for the engagement (16) of a punch (13) having, for example, the shape of pliers. Several slots (5, 6) are provided in side-by-side relationship. The slots (6) can be provided in the zone of the lateral rims of the watchband (10). The indentation (2, 3, 4, 31, 32, 50) in the template (1, 30, 40) can exhibit, besides the slots ( 5, 6) upwardly oriented stops (8, 44) for the end of the watchband (10) at the frontal side.

  • Patent number: 4849145
Abstract: For the production of articles comprising at least one layer of leather or simulated leather material and one layer of a synthetic resin connected to the first-mentioned layer in a shape-mating fashion, a mold cavity is filled with at least one layer of leather or a simulated leather material which later is in contact with at least one of the mold walls, and thereafter a synthetic resin, in the fluid condition or in a condition wherein it is rendered fluid, is introduced into the mold cavity. Finally, the synthetic resin is allowed to penetrate at least partially into the layer of leather or simulated leather material for the purpose of attaining an at least shape-mating bond therewith, and the peripheral edges of the layer of leather or simulated leather material are allowed to be covered by the synthetic resin.

  • Patent number: 4793030
Abstract: A watch strap comprising at least one layer of flexible material in the form of an elongated strip having an end portion adapted to be secured about a bar of a wristwatch, and a reversely bent member of spring metal secured to the inner side of said flexible material. The spring metal member has a bend adapted to encircle a watch bar and two legs which outwardly convex when the strap is in a position secured to a watch bar and is in use. At least one of the legs is convex in two orthogonal directions in that secured position and has a spring snap action, when the legs are pulled apart from each other, whereby the outwardly convex curvature in two orthogonal directions reverses to an outwardly concave curvature in two orthogonal directions to increase the distance between said legs to permit insertion or removal of a watch bar. A second strip of flexible material is secured to the underside of the first strip and to the underside of the outer of the two legs and terminates short of the bend.

  • Patent number: 4597138
Abstract: A connecting member (1, 16, 20) consisting of at least two pivotably joined parts is suggested for the attachment of straps (2) to watches (3). In this arrangement, the mutually pivotable parts (6, 7; 17, 7; 21, 22) exhibit surfaces (14, 15) in contact with each other under spring pressure and having locking tabs and locking recesses, so that the parts (6, 7; 17, 7; 21, 22) of the connecting member (1, 16, 20) are releasably locked together at least after a pivoting by 180.degree..

  • Patent number: 4586827
Abstract: An information system is disclosed built up of at least two modules (14, 60, 62, 63, 64, 66, 67), which modules can be joined with each other by way of a band (16) attachable to a user wherein at least two mutually insulated electric connecting wires (18) are embedded. In at least one of the modules (14, 60, 62, 63, 64, 66, 67) a bushing (28) for the band (16) is provided, associated with a plurality of connecting pins electrically connected to the module, these pins being insertable in the insulating material (20) of the band (16) for electrical contacting.

  • Patent number: 4573221
Abstract: A strap consists of a facing portion (6) and a lining (7), made especially of leather or simulated leather and joined together by gluing, sewing, or the like. A connecting part (1) of a rigid material, such as a metal or synthetic resin, is provided on at least one end of the strap, a tension-relief member (4) being arranged between the face material (6) and the lining (7), this tension-relief member being joined to the connecting part by the formation of a loop (5).

  • Patent number: 4513896
Abstract: A belt or strap consists of face material 1 and lining 2, both of which consist particularly of leather and are interconnected by an elastic layer 3. The longitudinal edges 4, 6 of the face material and/or lining are laterally bent and extend over part of the longitudinal edge 5 of the belt or strap. The material of the elastic layer 3 extends from the underside (in case of leather from the flesh side) into the face material and lining and extends as far as to the outermost portions 7 of the longitudinal edges 5 of the belt or strap.

  • Patent number: 4457460
Abstract: A wristwatch strap of leather or the like has a continuous non-porous barrier layer on the surfaces of the strap that contact the wrist of the wearer. The barrier layer consists of metal particles such as aluminum, noble metal or silver, having a particle size of 150 to 500 microns, preferably 200 to 350 microns, embedded in a matrix which consists of a synthetic resin. The barrier layer is effective to prevent the transfer of allergens and irritants from the material of the wristwatch strap, to the skin of the wearer.

  • Patent number: 4226487
Abstract: Apparatus for the display and dispensing of merchandise with at least one vertically extending carrier supporting the goods. The carrier can be slid out of the apparatus into a position in which it extends most of the way out of the apparatus, this position being determined by a stop, the goods being readily observable in this position. The stop limiting the sliding-out distance of the carrier can be selectively manually displaced from its operative position, whereupon the carrier can be pulled out in its entirety and detached from the apparatus. The goods can be removed from the carrier only after the latter has been detached from the apparatus. Upon re-insertion of the carrier, the stop automatically snaps behind the carrier, so that no special manipulation of the stop is needed at this time.

  • Patent number: 3991921
Abstract: The strap assembly is adapted to be connected to at least one fixing bar having a width between a predetermined lower limit and a predetermined upper limit. A carrying strap is formed with transverse slot means. A fixing strap has first and second end portions and an intermediate portion and extends through said slot means and is adapted to extend around said fixing bar. Said first and second end portions are adapted to be secured to said carrying strap. Said first end portion has a width equal to said lower limit. Said second end portion has a width equal to said upper limit. Said intermediate portion merges in width into said first and second end portions and gradually increases in width from said first end portion to said second end portion.
