  • Patent number: 11776347
Abstract: The device comprises an input compartment for inputting notes of value, a pull-off and separating unit for separating the notes, a value note identification unit for identifying the separated notes. The device comprises a cash box for storing notes. A control unit determines whether a filling level of the cash box has reached or exceeded a predetermined value. The control unit determines a remaining capacity of the cash box. The control unit deducts the number of notes transported to the cash box from the remaining capacity after a predetermined fill level of the cash box has been reached.

  • Publication number: 20230297986
Abstract: A self-service terminal includes a user interface to provide information to a user of the self-service terminal, an interface modification button, and a control device configured to: determine, whether an interface interaction mode of the self-service terminal is a first interface interaction mode or a second interface interaction mode. The control device is also configured to instruct, in response to a user input at the interface modification button, a modification of: a first perceptible property assigned to the information, when the interface interaction mode is the first interface interaction mode, and a second perceptible property assigned to the information, when the interface interaction mode is the second interface interaction mode.

  • Patent number: 11562612
Abstract: Shown is a device for handling notes of value, with an input/output compartment, a pull-off and separating device, an intermediate storage unit comprising a drum storage, at least one cash box, a transport device for the transport of notes of value between the afore-mentioned units, and a control unit. The control unit is configured to control the transport device such that notes of value that are to be stored in the cash box are fed to the drum storage and are intermediately stored thereat, and these notes of value are again taken from the intermediate storage unit after receipt of a confirmation information, are fed to the cash box and are stored therein.

  • Patent number: 11164168
Abstract: A method of operating a device (10) for handling banknotes detects multi-sheet withdrawals using a multi-sheet withdrawal sensor (30). If a multi-sheet withdrawal has been detected, at least the banknotes of the multi-sheet withdrawal are supplied to an input and/or output tray (22). Next, the banknotes are further separated. The denomination and/or number of the banknotes of the multi-sheet withdrawal is determined. The determined number and/or denomination is taken into account in the framework of the inventory management of the cash cassettes (16).

  • Patent number: 8944316
Abstract: The invention relates to a device (10) for handling currency notes that comprises a deposit and dispensing unit (16), a controller (20), at least one currency box (22 to 28), a reject box (30) and a transport unit. When a currency note jam occurs during transportation of at least one deposited currency note from the deposit and dispensing unit (16) to the currency box (22 to 28), the value of a stock counter (52 to 58) is initially increased in a first step by the number of currency notes from the currency note jam, before the value of the stock counter (52 to 58) is reduced in a second step by the number of currency notes from the currency note jam, and the value of the reject counter (62 to 68) is incremented by the number of currency notes from the currency note jam.

  • Patent number: 8689700
Abstract: The invention relates to a device for handling banknotes comprising an input and output unit, a control unit, at least one money cassette, a reject cassette and a transport unit to transport the banknotes. In addition, a stock counter is provided that indicates the current quantity of banknotes in the money cassette. When an incorrect withdrawal occurs after at least one banknote is removed from the money cassette, the banknotes from this incorrect withdrawal are transported to the reject cassette. A reject counter is assigned to the money cassette that indicates the total number of banknotes removed from said money cassette and taken to the reject cassette, wherein the value of said reject counter is increased by the value of the banknotes transported to the reject cassette when the incorrect withdrawal occurs. A virtual auxiliary cassette is set up in the software of the control unit.
