  • Patent number: 5470053
Abstract: A device for collecting successively supplied sheet-like notes, for example printed documents, and for dispensing the collected bundle of notes at the dispensing station of a dispensing machine (2) comprises a collecting cartridge (20) which is arranged in the machine housing (4) such that it can be adjusted by means of an adjusting device between a collecting position (A), withdrawn in the machine housing (4), arranged at the end of a note conveyor (12), and a dispensing position (C), located in the dispensing station and accessible for access. At least the front part (36) of the bottom (22) close to the side wall (24) is designed as a door (48) which can be adjusted into an open position freeing a bottom opening, a cartridge compartment (42) being arranged underneath the collecting cartridge (20).

  • Patent number: 4753545
Abstract: In a replaceable ribbon cartridge (12) for printers in which the ribbon (14) can be guided out of the cartridge through an exit opening (16) and at the end of a tension segment extending outside the cartridge can be reintroduced into the cartridge through an entrance opening (18), there is arranged on the cartridge (12) in the zone of the tension segment at least one deflection slide (24, 26) displaceable in a direction approximately perpendicular to the ribbon plane between a position of retraction into the cartridge (12) and an extended position deflecting the ribbon (14). Through the deflection slide or slides (24, 26), the ribbon (14) is generally spread away from the cartridge sufficiently so that upon insertion of the cartridge into the printer, it places itself around the printer head.

  • Patent number: 4504161
Abstract: Printing or recording apparatus for the selective printing of single sheets or margin-perforated endless paper in which for the endless paper operation a separate conveying unit can be put in place on the printer housing which unit is provided with conveying means engaging in the perforated margin of the endless paper. The sight case of the conveying unit is arranged over the feed opening as well as the delivery unit for the single sheets. A movable lid permits access to these openings for the single-sheet operation but covers these completely and in a soundproofing way for endless paper operation. Connected with the movable lid there is a prop which in the closed position of the lid automatically lifts off the platen the feed rolls not required in this operating state.

  • Patent number: 4497588
Abstract: Printing apparatus with a roller platen and a plastic strip for holding paper against the roller platen even if insufficient paper is fed through to reach the usual guide rollers. The plastic strip is arranged in a closed loop and is connected to the print element to move with it in the line direction. The strip has a perforation for the penetration of printing type or the like.

  • Patent number: 4468143
Abstract: Apparatus for guiding an ink ribbon for a printer, with top edges standing perpendicularly to and inclined forward toward the printing plane, over which the ink ribbon laid on flange plates which act as slides when fed further and threads in itself. At the same time means for the quick fixing of the print head are provided on the apparatus serving for the guiding of the ink ribbon.

  • Patent number: 4341100
Abstract: A magazine for a cash dispensing machine including a lock which can be activated at a loading station to trip if later tampered with thereby to prevent installation of the magazine.

  • Patent number: 3987880
Abstract: A spring clutch for a step drive, such as for form feeds in office machines, comprising drive and driven hubs rotatable about a common axis and having respective axially adjacent parts surrounded by a coil torsion spring which, in an unstressed condition, has a diameter greater than that of the hub parts, the spring having one end anchored for rotation with the drive hub, and the other end coupled to a clutch actuating member through the intermediary of a slip clutch mechanism having a slip torque which is greater than the torque required to wind the coil torsion spring onto the hub parts.

  • Patent number: 3967715
Abstract: An intermittent drive for a single-element printing typewriter, calculator or similar machine. The drive comprises a drive shaft couplable via a cycle clutch to a driven shaft and a governor disposed on the driven shaft to couple it with and maintain it at the same speed as the drive shaft during the clutch cycle. The governor comprises a friction wheel having a generally circular cross-section provided with flattened portions. During the clutch cycle, when the clutch engages the driven shaft, the friction wheel contacts a roll fixed to the drive shaft preventing the driven shaft from leading the drive shaft in response to reflected forces. At the end of the clutch cycle, when the clutch is disengaged, the friction wheel has rotated so that a flattened portion of the friction wheel faces the roll, and driven shaft is free from the rotation of the drive shaft.
