Abstract: Systems and methods for providing secure access to delegated resources are disclosed. In accordance with embodiments, a method may include receiving a delegation request, where the delegation request is associated with a user account; determining a list of delegable resources for which the user account has permission to delegate access; presenting the list of delegable resources via a user interface; receiving from the user interface, a user selection of a delegable resource from the list; generating a delegate identifier; associating an access permission to the delegate identifier, where the access permission provides access to the delegable resource; receiving the delegate identifier via the user interface; authenticating the delegate identifier; and providing access to the delegable resource based on the access permission.

Abstract: System and techniques are described for retrieving information relating to a received electronic message. Upon receipt of an incoming electronic message in a computer system, meta information stored in the computer system is accessed. The meta information identifies a first pre-selected class of a plurality of classes of stored fact information. A portion of the stored fact information that is a member of the first pre-selected class is retrieved. The retrieved portion of the stored fact information is stored in an electronic file that is associated with the incoming electronic message such that a rule for processing the incoming electronic message can be applied to the retrieved portion.

Abstract: Various implementations of the present invention provide systems and methods for interactive scripting in a distributed computing system. One implementation provides a method for displaying alert information on a display device. In this implementation, the method includes displaying work information in a work area of the display device, wherein the work information relates to an interactive session between a user and a specified person. The method further includes displaying alert information in a reserved area of the display device, wherein the alert information relates to a business-relevant situation for the interactive session between the user and the specified person. The reserved area of the display device is located in proximity to the work area of the display device and is persistently viewable by the user while the user is working in the work area.

Abstract: Various implementations of the present invention provide systems and methods for customized scripting. One implementation provides for a visual display of a script to a user. The user makes use of the script in communicating with a specified person during a session. A computing system receives information relating to a specific session being conducted with the specified person. The computing system then processes the received information to generate output information that specifies a display of a customized script. The customized script contains a standard script determined by the specific session being conducted and information particular to the specified person. The output information is then received at a display device, and a display is generated thereon of the customized script for use by the user during the specific session with the specified person.

Abstract: Various implementations for session coupling in a distributed computing system are provided. In one implementation, a first server entity receives a transmission having an identifiable user context from a client entity. In response, the first server entity creates a first session that is related to the identifiable user context. A second server entity receives a transmission related to the first session from the first server entity. In response, the second server entity creates a second session that relates to the identifiable user context. The first and second sessions are coupled to create a common virtual session. The common virtual session is then bound to the identifiable user context so that the first and second server entities recognize that subsequent transmissions from the client entity relate to the common virtual session.

Abstract: The present invention provides a method and system for managing incoming potential bounce messages with user-created rules. Bounces that are not recognized by the SMTP may be identified and follow-up actions for these bounces may be performed. A user can create rules for analyzing an incoming message to determine whether the message is a bounce and select follow-up actions that will be performed if the message is determined to be a bounce. Further, manual verification of certain messages is possible if it is unclear that the message is a bounce. Management of bounces that are recognized by the SMTP is also improved. A user may create rules for determining a cause of delivery failure of formal DSNs and select follow-up actions depending on the cause of delivery failure, as well as other factors. Exemplary messages that may be analyzed include e-mails, SMS text messages and FAXes.

Abstract: A method used while designing a rule to be applied as part of an automated computer process includes making fact attributes available in a graphical user interface of a computer system for user selection, each of the fact attributes identifying a pre-selected class of stored fact information that the computer system has been previously programmed to be able to retrieve. The method includes receiving an input indicating that a user selects at least one of the fact attributes as a condition in a rule to be created, the input further indicating an action to be associated with the rule. The method includes creating the rule upon receiving the input.

Abstract: Certain implementations of the invention are suitable for use in customer support systems where a service agent and a customer communicate via an interactive chat session. The computer system used by the service agent is capable of providing a graphical user interface (GUI) that displays at least a portion of the chat session in a reserved area. The service agent is able to view the messages of interactive chat session in a reserved area while viewing various task windows that ordinarily cover or replace the chat session window in the work area of the computer system's graphic user interface.

Abstract: Various implementations of the present invention provide systems and methods for interactive scripting in a distributed computing system. One implementation provides for generating an alert from information relating to a session between a user and a specified person. The information relating to the session between the user and the specified person is processed to generate an event relating to a business-relevant situation for the session. This event is then correlated with predetermined alert information, the predetermined alert information having one or more fields. An alert is then created by populating the fields of the predetermined alert information with information particular to the specified person.
