  • Patent number: 4972852
Abstract: The invention relates to a patient positioning device with a pedestal on which a patient positioning plate is mounted for longitudinal displacement. At least one signal transmission device is to be applied to or used by the patient. On the patient positioning plate is provided at least one plug device for connection of the cable of the signal transmission device. A cable securely installed on the patient positioning plate leads from the plug device to the fixed apparatus part, the cable forming a loop to permit longitudinal displacement of the patient positioning plate.

  • Patent number: 4701707
Abstract: A magnetic resonance diagnostic device has a coil for generating a fundamental magnetic field of constant magnitude in which an examination subject is placed, a coil for generating a number of gradient magnetic fields in which the patient is also disposed, a device for detecting changes in the nuclear magnetic resonance of the patient from an equilibrium position, with the direction of the fundamental magnetic field being continuously changed during examination for inducing the changes in nuclear magnetic resonance which are measured.

  • Patent number: 4510448
Abstract: The disclosure relates to a device for generating images of an examination subject with nuclear magnetic resonance in which a coil system for applying magnetic fields to the examination subject and for detecting the excursion of the magnetic nuclear spins of the examination subject from their state of equilibrium due to a high frequency magnetic excitation pulse is provided. The coil system exhibits gradient coils which are fed by a control device and fix the position of the examined layer in the examination subject with reference to a three-dimensional coordinate system with an x-, y- and z-axis. The control device exhibits a first setting for the selection of the axis (x, y, z) of the coordinate system which lies in the examined plane, and exhibits a second setting for the selection of the inclination of the examined plane.
