  • Patent number: 6431043
Abstract: A portable machine tool, especially a portable table saw, having an outer casing, an electric drive motor (2) arranged in the casing, and a connecting device (3) for connecting the drive motor to a power supply network having a low system frequency, and a tool (4), especially a circular saw blade, that is driven by the drive motor (2) in which the drive motor is a synchronous or asynchronous motor, the connecting device is a frequency converter (5) which converts the low system frequency of the power supply network to a high operating frequency, the drive motor operating at a high speed corresponding to that of the high operating frequency while the tool is driven at a lower speed suitable for machining purposes by being coupled to the drive motor via a speed-reducing gear train (6).

  • Patent number: 6370997
Abstract: A transportable circular table saw having an exterior housing (1) with a tabletop (4) forming a workpiece support surface (3) that is irreversibly arranged in the exterior housing (1), and a saw unit (7) arranged underneath the tabletop (4) with a drive motor and a circular saw blade (10) protruding into the tabletop (4) from below through a saw slot (9), with the exterior housing (1) in plan view being approximately square in shape. The sawing unit (7) is slidable relative to the tabletop (4) in a pulling direction, as a result of which the circular saw blade (10) moves in the saw slot (9) in the pulling direction, and in relation to an axis of a mitre cut in the pulling direction, preferably being able to be inclined to at least one side. The tabletop (4) forms the workpiece support surface (3) and the saw slot (9), is rotatably held in the exterior housing (1) on an axis perpendicular to the workpiece support surface (3), in particular in a surrounding top (14) of the exterior housing (1).

  • Patent number: 4917406
Abstract: The invention relates to a length-adjustable holding device (5) for supporting the lower steering arms of a three-point coupling device of an agricultural tractor. The holding device (5) comprises a helical spring (6) and an adjusting member (9). The spring and adjusting member are connectable to each other by means of through-bores (10) in the adjusting member (9) and a pin (11) insertable between two coils (6a, 6b) of the helical spring (6). The axes (12) of the through-bores (10) extend at an angle and the distance between the bores (10) differs from the pitch of the two coils (6a, 6b) in order to achieve a fine length adjustment. The adjusting member (9) is guided via a guiding projection (15) in a bore (16) of a guiding sleeve (14) which is received in the cavity of the helical spring (6) so as to be non-rotatable and axially unmovable.

  • Patent number: 4865134
Abstract: An adjustable length strut 24 for laterally supporting each lower steering arm 12, 14 of a three point linkage on an agricultural tractor comprises a sleeve 26 within which a shaft is telescopically slidable, the two parts being biased inwardly towards one another by a tension spring 40. The shaft 28 is provided with axially spaced through bores 52, 54, 56 each alignable with a corresponding through bore 58, 60 or 62 in the sleeve 26. The longitudinal axes of each alignable set of bores extends at different angles of inclination to one another whereby a locking pin 64 may only be insertable through one specific set of aligned bores.
