  • Publication number: 20090010820
Abstract: In one aspect, a micro-fluidic system consisting of modules that are arranged side by side in a row, each module containing a micro-fluidic unit and an associated electric control unit is provided. The rear faces of the modules lie against a common vertical rear wall unit and are held against the unit. In the modules, the respective control unit is located in the vicinity of the rear face and the micro-fluidic unit is situated in a region that is remote from the rear face. The control units can be connected to an electric line bus that runs through the rear wall unit via electric connectors that are located on the rear faces of the modules and on the rear wall unit and the micro-fluidic units of two respective neighboring modules are interconnected to allow the passage of fluid via a connecting part that contains connection channels and that spans the relevant modules.

  • Patent number: 4656488
Abstract: The present invention provides a system for recording operating condition information regarding transportation equipment and for determining the accuracy of recorded duration of the operating conditions. The system includes a first recording member for recording the operating condition information and a second recording member for recording time information in a predetermined pattern with accurate duration recording of the operating condition information and where such predetermined pattern is broken with inaccurate duration recording of the operating condition information.

  • Patent number: 4633270
Abstract: The present invention provides a measuring and recording system for transportation equipment which measures the values of various operating parameters of the equipment and which records these values in analogue fashion on a recording medium. The system is characterized by an electronic signaler which causes readily visible markings to be produced on the recording medium distinct from the analogue recording pattern and independent from the analogue recording level when any of the operating parameters reaches a certain preset value.

  • Patent number: 4595932
Abstract: The present invention provides a recording system for recording operating parameter information on transportation equipment, such as large trucks and the like. The recording system includes at least one circuit line for operation thereof and is characterized by a sensor for sensing circuit line impedence changes indicative of unauthorized shut down of the system, as well as a recording member responsive to the sensor for visually recording any occurrences of these impedence changes on the recording medium.

  • Patent number: 4293844
Abstract: The present invention provides an acceleration warning and control system for use on motor driven vehicles. The system comprises speed measuring means, acceleration means and an acceleration warning switch, having a variable switch point. Accordingly, the acceleration warning switch is set to switch at different accelerations for different speeds. Generally, the system allows for a higher acceleration at low speeds relative to the acceleration for higher speeds.

  • Patent number: 4245598
Abstract: A speed control system for controlling a vehicle's speed operates by means of limiting fuel flow to the engine of the vehicle at and above, a predetermined speed. the system comprises fuel line means to the engine, a fuel pump feeding the fuel line means, a fuel bypass from the fuel line means which is normally closed and a monitoring means for monitoring the speed of the vehicle and for opening the fuel bypass when the vehicle speed reaches or exceeds the preset speed to bypass the fuel from the fuel line means and limit fuel flow to the engine. The fuel bypass is provided with automatic pressure regulating valve means adjusted to maintain the amount of fuel flow in the fuel line means at all times for engine idling.

  • Patent number: 4171030
Abstract: An acceleration warning system for motor driven vehicles. The system includes speed measuring apparatus providing an output to a differentiating circuit for determining the rate of change of vehicle acceleration, and means responsive to a predetermined output of the differentiating circuit for indicating when the acceleration of the vehicle is beyond a predetermined rate. The system may also include control means for automatically limiting the acceleration of the vehicle.
