  • Patent number: 8602680
Abstract: A vibrating plate comprises a vibration generator device, which can be controlled in such a manner that the direction of the action of force can be set at a number of locations, particularly in more than two locations. In addition, an advance adjusting device is provided for controlling the vibration generator device whereby the direction of the action of force is set in a position in which a maximum possible advance of the vibrating plate is reached. The direction of the action of force can be changed according to a change in the surroundings of the vibrating plate, particularly to the slope and/or the hardness of a subsoil to be compacted by a soil contact plate. Alternatively, the direction of the action of force can be changed according to the wishes of the operator.

Assignee: Wacker Neuson Produktion GmbH & Co., KG
Inventors: Michael Fischer, Otto W. Stenzel, Oliver Kolmar, Martin Awrath, Walter Unverdorben, Hermann Schennach

  • Patent number: 7303356
Abstract: The invention relates to a soil compacting device, especially a vibrating plate, which comprises an undercarriage mounted on a lower body, said undercarriage having an undercarriage axle that is stationary with respect to the device. By suitably positioning the undercarriage axle it is achieved that, in a vibrating position, the rolling bodies do not touch ground while they do touch ground when the entire device is simply tilted about an axis that corresponds approximately to the undercarriage axle, thereby allowing the mobility of the device. The soil compacting device is advantageous over conventional devices in that an extension or swiveling of the undercarriage axle for the purpose of transport and the corresponding devices are no longer required.

  • Patent number: 6382383
Abstract: The invention relates to a safety device for the manually operated soil compaction roller, comprising an operating lever and an adjusting element coupled to an actuator in order to drive said roller. In case of danger, a safety-control element travels in between the adjusting element and the operating lever and separates the positive coupling, whereupon the adjusting element swings into a neutral position and shuts down the machine. When the operating lever swings forwards, a command corresponding to a forward movement is transmitted to the drive mechanism of said roller via a second positive coupling.
