  • Publication number: 20110224039
Abstract: A process for producing a sliding bearing bush in a cast component of lightweight metal, preferably a tensioning lever of a belt tensioner. The process includes the following steps: a die, which forms the seat for a sliding bearing bush to be pressed in and has radially outer groove drawing noses, is inserted into a lightweight metal pressure die-casting die. After the liquid lightweight metal has been injected into the lightweight metal pressure die-casting die and subsequently solidified, the die is then drawn out of the lightweight metal pressure die-casting die in such a way that an aperture, which has a groove profile, is formed as a seat for the sliding bearing bush to be pressed in.

  • Publication number: 20090264233
Abstract: The invention relates to an assembly drive or traction mechanism drive, which is designed as a belt drive, of an internal combustion engine, with one tensioning roller and/or one deflecting roller which encloses in each case one belt pulley. In the operating state of the belt pulley, a traction mechanism, which is designed as a V-ribbed belt, is guided on the running surface of the belt pulley. Here, the belt pulley of the deflecting roller has a smooth running surface against which the V-ribbed belt is supported with the profiled inner side.

  • Publication number: 20090124443
Abstract: A belt drive of an internal combustion engine, wherein the belt pulleys are connected by an elastomer belt, for creating a mounting position, the belt pulley can be eccentrically pivoted about the screw connection after the screw connection has been removed whereby due to the diminishing distance between the axes of the belt pulleys, the placing of the elastomer belt in the required position is simplified.

  • Patent number: 5931754
Abstract: A tensioner for the chain or the belt of an internal combustion engine, for example of the camshaft drive, includes a cylindrical tensioner housing (2) with a piston (1) loaded by a compression spring (13) arranged therein, the tensioner housing and the piston being axially displaceable relative to each other. The displaceable element which is displaceable relative to the fixed element in chain tensioning direction, is surrounded by a first stop ring which limits its backward movement. According to the invention, the first stop ring is configured as a retaining clip (15) whose arms engage into a locking groove (16) of the tensioner housing (2) under radial pre-stress and, upon a displacement thereof, can come to bear axially against a stop surface of the receiving housing (3).

  • Patent number: 5704860
Abstract: The proposed chain tightener is provided with a damping piston (3) in a guide bore (2). A stop ring (8) is provided between the damping piston (3) and the housing (1). The stop ring (8) cooperates with grooves (9, 17, 13) and stops (11, 10, 14) on the housing (1) and on the damping piston (3), preventing the damping piston (3) from sliding too far into the housing (1). To allow the damping piston (3) to be locked in position in the bore (2), it is proposed that the stop ring (8) should be clamped in a locking position between two contact surfaces (12, 16) on the housing (1) and damping piston (3) respectively, the contact surfaces (12, 16) being inclined in relation to the axis of the damping piston.
