  • Publication number: 20070107166
Abstract: The invention relates to a radially slotted ring having an elastically variable diameter, in particular a retaining ring, is to be transportable as a bulk material without complications and it should be suitable for final grinding to an axial thickness dimension with a high manufacturing precision. This ring (1) comprises a radial slot (2) that is filled at least partially with a filler material (3) which is easily removed prior to use of this ring (1) for its proper function, the filler material serving as a shipping and/or machining aid. The filler material (3) consists in particular of the material of the ring and is already manufactured in the primary shaping of the ring (1) together with this ring so that it can be separated easily from the ring.

  • Patent number: 6527327
Abstract: A foot-depositing for a passenger sitting in a rear seat or in a front-passenger seat of a vehicle on which to place his feet, includes a frame which is arranged on the floor in front of the particular seat and supports a board, via an adjusting device, the adjusting device enabling the setting of a first board position, in which the board forms a ramp rising with increasing distance from the associated seat and is used for the passenger to place his feet. The adjusting device also enables the setting of a second board position, in which the board forms a ramp sloping away with increasing distance from the seat and is used for the passenger to place his calves.

  • Patent number: 5176335
Abstract: When required a quasi-static blocking function is achieved in a fundamentally conventional belt retractor with vehicle-sensitive and/or webbing-sensitive blocking mechanism comprising a control disc (16) which is provided at its outer periphery with a control toothing (18) and by the movement of which relatively to the belt spool (12) the blocking mechanism is activatable. For this purpose a feeler (26) is held in spring-resilient engagement with the outer periphery of the belt coil. An actuating arm (34) of a control pawl (24) pivotally mounted on the housing (10) cooperates with control faces of said feeler (26). The control pawl (24) is movable between a first stable position in which it engages with its pawl tip (30) into the control toothing (18) and a second stable position in which it is moved out of the region of the control toothing.

  • Patent number: 4948199
Abstract: A force limiter comprises a stretch element which is inserted into the force flow path and which under tensile load by increasing its length deforms in force-limiting manner and the longitudinal ends of which are bridged by a stretch-limiting element with insertion of a clearance corresponding to the intended extension of the stretch element. By the stretch-limiting element the failure load of the force limiter is increased without influencing the tensile stress/elongation characteristic within the intended action range.
