Abstract: Triazine derivatives ##EQU1## use as light and heat stabilizers and for improving fatigue properties in rubber vulcanizates have the following composition: A 1,3,5-triazine derivative of the formula whereinX is ##EQU2## --SR.sup.6 or chlorine, and Y isOr --SR.sup.7,R.sup.1, r.sup.2, r.sup.3 and R.sup.4 being hydrogen, alkyl of 1 to 18 carbon atoms, phenyl, allyl, or methallyl and wherein alkyl may be substituted by --OH, --OR.sup.5 (R.sup.5 being lower alkyl) or --CN and wherein R.sup.1 and R.sup.3 may also be .alpha.-naphthyl or .beta.-naphthyl with the provision that the R.sup.2 or R.sup.4 group which is attached to the same N must then be hydrogen; and whereinR.sup.6 and R.sup.7 are alkyl or 1 to 18 carbon atoms or a thioether group of the formulaC.sub.n H.sub.2n.sub.+1 -- S -- CH.sub.2 -- CH.sub.2 --,n being 1 to 18.The invention also embraces a vulcanizing process, a vulcanizable composition and a rubber vulcanizate including or using the above triazine derivatives.

Abstract: There are prepared sulfur containing organoorganooxysilanes of the formula A-X-Z where A is R-S--, where R is a triazine or thiodiazole residue, X is a divalent organic residue, Z is -SiR" (OR').sub.2 ; -Si(OR').sub.3 ; -Si(OR').sub.2 -O-Si(OR').sub.3 ; -Si(OR').sub.2 -O-Si(OR').sub.2 -X-A; where R' and R" are alkyl groups of 1 to 12 carbon atoms. The compounds are useful as additives to cross-linkable mixtures containing organic polymers.
