  • Patent number: 4992057
Abstract: The electrically insulating carrier comprises at least one through-hole which extends from a first face to an oppositely situated second face of the carrier and which serves to receive an electrically conductive pin having a mainly rectangular cross-section. The hole comprises three sections which are consecutively disposed in its longitudinal direction, the first section opening into the first face of the carrier and having a cross-section whose dimensions are so large that, after insertion, the pin does not contact the wall of the first section in any location. The second section has an at least partly circular cross-section whose diameter is so much smaller than the diagonal of the cross-section of the pin that the pin is retained by friction between the pin and the wall of this section. The third section has a cross-section whose largest dimension at the most equals the smallest dimension of the cross-section of the pin.

  • Patent number: 4515427
Abstract: Coaxial cable (1) with a connector which comprises a central contact (23) connected to the central conductor (3) and a sheath contact (11) connected to the conducting sheath (7). An end portion of the conducting sheath is axially flattened to form a disk and is clamped between a transverse wall (15) of the sheath contact (11), which wall is provided at the center with a passage (17), and a sleeve (19) which is bent inwards at its edge and is arranged coaxially with the transverse wall. As a result, the operation of mounting the connector can be mechanized very simply and readily.

  • Patent number: 4368576
Abstract: A method of forming an end suitable for electric coupling, on a coaxial cable having a flexible metal shield and a synthetic outer sheath. The outer sheath is cut circumferentially at a distance from the cable end, the end portion of the outer sheath is moved in the direction of the cable end so that the moved portion projects partly beyond the cable end, the end portion of the outer sheath is shortened, and then moved back while clamping against the metal shield, so that the metal shield is upset in the form of an umbrella and the insulated conductor is exposed.
