  • Publication number: 20260096801
Abstract: An ultrasound system includes a processor circuit in communication with an array of acoustic elements and a display. The processor circuit receives B-mode and/or Doppler ultrasound data representative of mitral regurgitation associated with an orifice in a mitral valve. The processor circuit generates a model of the orifice and outputs a graphical representation of the model of the orifice to the display. The processor circuit generates a blood flow model of the mitral regurgitation based on the model of the orifice. The processor circuit compares the blood flow model to the Doppler data. The processor circuit changes the model of the orifice (e.g., a different shape, a different position, and/or a different orientation) such that the blood flow model is changed to match the Doppler data. The processor circuit outputs a graphical representation of the orifice with the different shape, the different position, and/or the different orientation to the display.

  • Publication number: 20230020925
Abstract: A system (10) for configuring operation settings of a medical device (16) in a state of interaction with a patient (14), and determining features or options of a patient treatment, is based on use of co-operative feedback between digital models (34, 32) for the medical device (16) on the one hand and at least a portion of the anatomy with which the medical device is interaction on the other. A feedback loop is implemented between outputs (46, 48) and inputs (42, 44) of the two models, so that outputs of each model form at least part of the input provided to the other of the models. This way a decision outcome regarding optimum operation settings for the medical device, for balancing both medical aims and also operational efficiency aims for the medical device, can effectively be arrived at iteratively through recursive circular feedback between the two models. The decision outcome may be refined though this process of back and forth feedback.

  • Patent number: 5791515
Abstract: A one-at-a-time pill container and dispenser having a mechanism which allows for use of the device with existing containers. A child-proof lock is provided. The device has a mechanism for ensuring that only a single pill is brought into the dispensing chamber as a consequence of a partial rotation of the cap with respect to the bottle body. A reverse partial rotation of the cap then allows the pill to fall by gravity into the user's hand. The two-directional rotation to cause pill dispensing is easy for an adult but highly unlikely to be accidentally duplicated by a child. The mechanism is a series of wedge shaped chambers, sized for the capsule to be dispensed, with a covering flange over the dispensing chamber, to ensure that only a single capsule enters the dispensing aperture. The chambers are caused to be rotated by the mating engagement of the cap, via a pawl, with a segment shaped slot in the top of the dispensing mechanism.
