  • Patent number: 11933124
Abstract: The present disclosure provides a latch system that is activated internally after installation in a tubular member and requires no external penetration through a wall of the tubular member. The latch system and the tool on which it is installed includes an energizing ring and a lock ring resting on a portion of the tool, where the energizing ring can be pressed toward the lock ring to expand the lock ring radially outward and lock into an internal lock groove in a bore of the tubular member. A self-locking mechanism using corresponding profiles in the components can, with the lock ring expansion, longitudinally lock the energizing ring with the lock ring and lock the energizing ring with the tubular member. The dual locking of the three components locks or otherwise restrains the components together, so that the tool is fixed in a longitudinal position relative to the tubular member.

  • Publication number: 20230258269
Abstract: The present disclosure provides a modular linear actuated valve having a lower body module that can interface with an interchangeable upper linear actuator module being at least one of a mechanical linear actuator module and a fluid linear actuator module. The invention includes a quick disconnect between the body module and any of the actuator modules. An actuator assembly on the selected actuator module can be coupled to the valve stem on the lower body module using a quick disconnect segment on the actuator module and a reciprocal quick disconnect segment on the body module. A valve can be quickly converted into a mechanical linear actuated valve or a fluid linear actuator valve, simplifying manufacturing and stocking, and providing a faster response to customer orders.

  • Publication number: 20150007718
Abstract: A hydraulic actuator apparatus includes a hydraulic cylinder having a top and bottom face wherein a rotatable piston is movably disposed. Top and bottom pistons rods that are rotatably removable and couple to the top and bottom faces of the piston. The piston rods are interchangeable so that the top piston rod can be exchanged with the bottom piston rod. The hydraulic actuator apparatus further includes top and bottom end caps, which sealably couple to the top and bottom faces of the hydraulic cylinder, and the end caps support connection to external components and have thru holes, which allow their respective piston rods to emerge from the hydraulic cylinder. The end caps are also interchangeable so that the top end cap and the bottom end cap can be switched. The hydraulic actuator apparatus is symmetric and can be rotated with respect to its connection to external components.

  • Patent number: 6695059
Abstract: An anti-rotation device prevents an inner wellhead housing from rotating within an outer wellhead housing. The anti-rotation device provides spring loaded anti-rotational keys within the outer wellhead housing and mating slots formed within the inner wellhead housing. The keys face inwards to the inner wellhead housing, are circumferentially spaced apart around the outer wellhead housing, and located between the two tapered shoulders. As the inner wellhead housing lands in the outer housing, the inner wellhead housing pushes the keys of the outer wellhead housing to a retracted position. The inner wellhead housing is then rotated within the outer wellhead housing until the spring loaded keys align with the slots and extend into the slots of the inner wellhead housing. Any rotational force on the inner wellhead housing will be resisted by the anti-rotational mechanism.
