  • Patent number: 11927518
Abstract: A method for determining a rate of sedimentation or of creaming of a mixture in suspension, including an application of a sample of the mixture in suspension to a photonic microresonator, an application of a first optical signal at the input of the photonic microresonator carrying the sample of the mixture in suspension, an acquisition and a recording of a second optical signal, delivered at the output of the microresonator carrying the sample of the mixture in suspension, and a determination of information representing a rate of sedimentation or of creaming of the mixture from the recorded second signal, by successive iterations of spectral analysis of the second optical signal.
    Type: Grant

  • Publication number: 20050040044
Abstract: A system for using dielectrophoresis to manipulate dielectric particles, in particular biological cells in suspension in a medium and subjected to the action of an alternating electric field of distribution that is made to be non-uniform by means of a regular array of electrodes suitable for defining local zones where the electric field is at a minimum in rows to concentrate particles in said local zones by the action of negative dielectrophoresis forces, wherein the array of electrodes is formed on the surface of a multilayer substrate, and wherein the same-polarity electrodes of the array are connected to respective common power supply pads via two arrays of conductor tracks which are formed at an intermediate level situated beneath the array of electrodes.
