  • Patent number: 10557952
Abstract: An accelerometer device for determining the acceleration of an object, along three axes X, Y and Z of a main orthonormal reference system and subject to a surrounding pressure, comprises a number N of accelerometer sensors of MEMS type, N at least equal to two, each sensor defined by construction in an auxiliary reference system comprising three orthonormal axes, the set of accelerometer sensors comprising at least one pair of sensors mounted to face in opposite directions and parallel to one another, and: for each of the pairs of accelerometer sensors, the sensors have components of opposite sign along two axes of the main reference system; and the axes of the reference system along which the components of the accelerometer sensors oppose the set of pairs of sensors in twos comprise at least two of the three axes X, Y and Z of the reference system, to compensate for the effect of the pressure on at least two axes of the reference system.

  • Patent number: 10167167
Abstract: A device for towing very long tubular objects comprises a casing and an assembly which can be fixed removably to the casing. The removable assembly comprises: pulling means capable of driving in their movement, by friction, the object in a towing direction, gripping means capable of exerting a load on the pulling means to keep the pulling means and the towed object in continuous contact; the gripping means being driven by a relative movement relative to the towed object in a direction opposite to the towing direction. The casing comprises driving means, connected removably to the pulling means and gripping means and configured to drive in movement the pulling means and the gripping means in a coordinated manner to ensure a continuous and uniform pulling of the object.

  • Patent number: 8590476
Abstract: The present invention relates to systems for launching and retrieving underwater craft from a ship. It consists mainly of a handling cradle for launching and retrieving an underwater vehicle, comprising a frame forming a dorsal ridge and providing an interface between lifting means, a crane for example, and the underwater vehicle. This frame comprises: means for adjusting the overall buoyancy; means for automatically aligning the vehicle with the dorsal ridge formed by the frame; means for grasping the vehicle from the surface after the frame has been aligned with the vehicle. In a preferred embodiment, the cradle comprises an onboard video camera enabling the operator onboard the ship to ensure that the vehicle attachment and release operations are carried out correctly. The invention advantageously allows the vehicle to be launched and retrieved automatically when the vehicle is under the surface in an area where it is not subject to the effects of the swell.

  • Publication number: 20100322033
Abstract: The present invention relates to a sonar surveillance system for coastal protection and port surveillance comprising: an anchoring structure; a support mast designed to be mounted on the structure and arranged on the latter so as to adopt a substantially vertical position; a platform mounted on the top of the mast and receiving a sonar head; a float fixed to the mast, in proximity to the top, the buoyancy of which is sufficient to keep the mast in the vertical position, when the latter is subjected to the action of movement of the water masses in which it is immersed. The length of the mast is determined so as to position the sonar head at a depth for which the latter offers maximum performance in terms of detection range.
