  • Patent number: 11407906
Abstract: A method for producing a surface coated with a coating having an improved coalescence, the method including: providing a composition comprising from 99.6% to 99.99% by weight of at least one powder of at least one polyarylene ether ketone and 0.01 to 0.4% by weight of a hydrophilic flow agent, the hydrophilic flow agent being hydrophilic silica; depositing the composition onto a surface forming a coated surface; and baking the coated surface to form a film on the surface.

  • Publication number: 20190040269
Abstract: A powder composition of polyarylene ether ketone ketones allowing an excellent castability/coalescence balance suitable for laser sintering. A composition including between 99.6 and 99.99% by weight of at least one powder of at least one polyarylene ether ketone and 0.01 to 0.4% by weight of a hydrophilic flow agent. This hydrophilic flow agent is characterized by an increase in mass (quantity of water absorbed) of more than 0.5% after 5 days of conditioning at a relative humidity of 95%. This increase in mass of the flow agent is determined by means of a Karl Fischer measurement after desorption of the water by a 5-minute treatment at 170° C. This composition is suitable for laser sintering. In particular, it gives the powder an excellent castability/coalescence balance.

  • Patent number: 8039525
Abstract: The subject of the invention is a process for producing polyamide, copolyamide, polyolefin, copolyester amide or fluorocarbon resin powder particles on to the surface of which has been grafted at least one functionalized grafting monomer, characterized in that it comprises: a) a step of blending the polyamide or copolyamide powder particles with the functionalized grafting monomer; followed by b) a step of irradiating the powder impregnated with functionalized grafting monomer resulting from a) with photons (?-radiation) or electrons (?-radiation), with a dose ranging from 0.5 to 15 Mrad. The invention also relates to the particles grafted in this way and to the compositions containing such particles.
