  • Patent number: 4379260
Abstract: A dual-slope integrator is provided in the usual manner with input switches for a measured voltage and reference voltage and with a first counter having a count capacitor N.sub.1, in addition to the usual integrating resistor and integrator condenser in circuit with an integrating amplifier. The output of the latter is applied to a comparator and a clock-pulse generator produces the counting pulses. According to the invention, a second counter is provided with a capacitor N.sub.2 so that the two counters together have a capacity N.sub.1 .times.N.sub.2, the input switching circuit is keyed by the clock pulses, and a further amplifier of amplification N*.sub.2 is provided, the amplification factor N*.sub.2 being approximately equal to N.sub.2.

  • Patent number: 4294115
Abstract: A measuring device, for practically simultaneous measurement of a temperae difference and an absolute temperature, with temperature precision resistors for the temperatures. Both temperature precision resistors, along with a reference resistor, are arranged in parallel, with time switches provided in the current supply lines thereof, with the aid of which these resistors are sequentially supplied from a common constant power source with equal current pulses during predetermined time intervals. Condensers or capacitors are provided in parallel to the individual resistors and are sequentially charged, with the aid of a time window switching during time intervals lying within the current pulse time intervals over sense lines and differential switches to the pulse voltages which fall at the resistors.

  • Patent number: 4028023
Abstract: A fluid operable rotary piston device having a housing with gas inlet and tlet means and a hollow cylinder rotatable therein having gas inlet and gas outlet ports which communicate with the gas inlet and outlet means during rotation of the cylinder. A rotary piston is rotatable on an eccentric axis inside the cylinder and the cylinder and piston have interengageable means forming contact free working chambers. Axial sealing strips are mounted on one of the piston and cylinder and form contact free sealing gaps between adjacent working chambers. The cylinder rotates in the housing in contact free relation therewith and a transmission connects the piston and cylinder for rotation at respective speeds.

  • Patent number: 3963390
Abstract: A bearing arrangement advantageous for rotary piston engine for compressing r expanding gases, which comprises a housing formed of two cylindrical partial cups of two equal sized hollow bodies, said cups facing each other along longitudinal openings. In said housing there are provided two shafts of equal pitch diameter, which shafts are rotatable about the central axis of one of said two hollow bodies and mesh with each other. Between each one of the shafts and the inner surface of the hollow body surrounding the pertaining shaft there is formed a working chamber intended for an diabatic inner compression or expansion of the gases. The shafts respectively comprise a rotary piston extending over the length of the hollow body. The shafts also have a recess adjacent said rotary piston and extending in an axis-parallel manner while said recess has a dimension making possible the meshing of the rotary piston of the other shaft.

  • Patent number: 3945777
Abstract: A rotary piston engine for compressing or expanding gases, which comprises housing formed of two cylindrical semi-cups of two equal size cylindrical hollow bodies, said cups facing each other along longitudinal openings. In the housing there are provided two shafts of equal pitch diameter which shafts are rotatable about the central axis of one of two hollow bodies and mesh with a fine-toothed labyrinth with each other. Between each one of the shafts and the inner surface of the hollow body surrounding the pertaining shaft there is formed a working chamber intended for an adiabatic inner compression or expansion of the gases. The shafts respectively comprise a rotary piston extending over the length of the hollow body and extending with slight play to the inner wall of the hollow body and forming with the respective engaging parts of the inner wall of the hollow body a surface forming a gap seal or labyrinth gap seal.
