  • Patent number: 9287768
Abstract: A power converter configured to control an electrical load including a supply DC bus, a bus capacitor, a pre-charging circuit of the bus capacitor provided with a limiting resistor, a switched-mode power supply, and a starter assembly of the switched-mode power supply. The power converter includes a selection mechanism configured to connect the supply DC bus either, in a first state, to the starter assembly of the switched-mode power supply or, in a second state, to the bus capacitor to short circuit the limiting resistor.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: September 14, 2012
Date of Patent: March 15, 2016
Assignee: Schneider Toshiba Inverter Europe SAS
    Inventors: Jocelyn Guyomard, Heu Vang
  • Patent number: 9036370
Abstract: A power converter including: a first controlled current source configured to control current flowing on a DC supply bus of the converter, a switch connected to a second current source and to a third current source and to each of input phases of the converter, a first controller configured to control the first current source to impose a current on the DC supply bus, and a second controller synchronized with the first controller and configured to control the second current source and the third current source to impose a current on one of the input phases selected with aid of the switch.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: December 12, 2011
Date of Patent: May 19, 2015
Assignee: Schneider Toshiba Inverter Europe SAS
Inventors: Arnaud Videt, Hocine Boulharts, Heu Vang
  • Patent number: 8964425
Abstract: A power converter including a rectifier stage connected to plural phases of a network delivering an input current at a determined fundamental frequency, a DC power supply bus and a bus capacitor connected to the DC power supply bus. The converter includes a controlled current source situated on the DC power supply bus, the current source making it possible to control a rectifier current, flowing on the DC power supply bus, and a controller for the controlled current source to control a rectifier current, flowing on the DC power supply bus. The controller is configured to implement a regulation loop into which are injected a first harmonic and a second harmonic synchronized respectively at six times and twelve times the fundamental frequency of the input current delivered by the network, the amplitude and phase of these harmonics being determined to limit the THDi and the PWHD.
