  • Publication number: 20080140287
Abstract: Provided are a system and method for informing a vehicle accident using a telematics device. In an emergency, such as vehicle collision, etc., the system and method propagate information on the accident to vehicles around the accident scene, thereby informing the vehicles of traffic congestion. Since the vehicles continuously inform the same to vehicles behind through ad-hoc communication, a vehicle guided by a telematics device can recognize the traffic congestion ahead, re-search for a path, and thereby make a detour. Therefore, although vehicles behind the accident scene cannot see the occurrence of the accident on a foggy highway, etc., the risk of a chain-reaction crash is reduced. In addition, it is possible to avoid traffic congestion due to an accident in downtown.

  • Patent number: 7367013
Abstract: A Linux kernel and an application software package are integrally installed at a target computer by using a CML2. Setup options of the application S/W package to be installed at the target computer are described in an option information file. The option information file of the application S/W package is converted into a CML2 rule file and the CML2 rule file of the application S/W package is then integrated with a CML2 rule file of the Linux kernel, thereby realizing integrated configuration of the Linux kernel and the application S/W package and preparing an environment where dependency rules between the Linux kernel and the application S/W package can be described. Since every option in the option information file has a file list and these file lists are stored in a file list table, an installation file list that describes files finally installed at the target computer can be easily generated.

  • Patent number: 6944229
Abstract: There is provided an apparatus and method for MPEG decoding using dynamically varying voltage and frequency of a processor, wherein an operation frequency and voltage of the processor is set depending on a difference between the number of current frames and that of set frames, in correspondence with the interrupt generated during decoding frames until a next interrupt is generated, to thereby support a real-time decoding. The method herein includes the steps of predicting decoding time until the next interrupt from the current interrupt is generated depending on both a type and size of frames and the system speed.
