  • Publication number: 20080301900
Abstract: A steam-vacuum cleaner with an electric power controlling function and a method thereof are provided. The steam-vacuum cleaner includes a suction motor which rotates to generate a suction force; a heater which emits heat to generate a steam; a power supply part which supplies an electric power to the suction motor and the heater; an electric power measuring part which measure a total electric power supplied from the power supplier and consumed in the suction motor and the heater; and a controller which controls at least one of a rotational velocity of the suction motor and a magnitude of heat emitted from the heater such that the total electric power of the suction motor and the heater is maintained less than a threshold value. Accordingly, steam and vacuum cleaning functions are simultaneously performed within the limit of power capacity of a wire.

  • Patent number: 6881938
Abstract: A fan motor having a simple construction and a microwave oven equipped with the fan motor. The fan motor includes a stator, a rotor, a rotating shaft extending from both ends of the rotor, a support unit mounted to a front of the stator, and a bearing inserted in a through hole of the support unit. The bearing forwardly extends from the support unit, and is set into a boss mounted to a rear of the support unit. A stopper in front of the bearing fits over an insert groove formed at an outer surface of the rotating shaft, and is stopped by a front end of the bearing, preventing the rotating shaft from being rearwardly removed from the stator. A blowing fan mounted to a front end of the rotating shaft cools electrical devices and ventilates a cooking cavity of the microwave oven.

  • Patent number: 6878914
Abstract: A timer for a microwave oven includes an actuating lever operating auxiliary power switch when pushed by a power control cam installed in a timer casing. A pushing unit is installed adjacent to the power control cam to move the power control cam up and down and pushes the power control cam so as to disconnect the actuating lever from the power control cam and hold the power switch on when a power level of the microwave oven is set to a maximum using a power control shaft. The pushing unit has a shaft part extending toward an intermediate gear disposed between the power contact shaft and the power cam. A compressing projection is provided on the intermediate gear pushing the shaft part of the pushing unit to move the power control cam.
