  • Patent number: 8128988
Abstract: A dense interconnector film is formed over a fuel electrode, while preventing calcium included in material for the interconnector from solid phase reaction with zirconia included in material for the fuel electrode. When forming the interconnector film 5 made of lanthanum chromite-based perovskite type oxide which includes calcium in its composition includes calcium to the fuel electrode 2 of which composition includes zirconia, a intermediate layer 6 is formed on the fuel electrode 2, by using (Sr0.9La0.1)(Ti0.9Nb0.1)O3, and then onto the intermediate layer 6, the interconnector film 5 is formed.

  • Patent number: 7759016
Abstract: A cell of a flat plate solid oxide fuel cell has a first electrode member of porous material having pores through which all of a fuel gas or air passes. An electrolyte film is on either a front or a back surface of the first electrode member. A second electrode member is on the electrolyte film and a separator film is on the other surface of the first electrode member. The first electrode member is either a fuel electrode or an air electrode and the second electrode member is the other. Part of the electrolyte film and/or part of the separator film form seal portions which cover side surfaces between the electrolyte film and the separator film and function as gas seal films.

  • Publication number: 20080081223
Abstract: It is to prevent calcium contained in a material for interconnector from flowing out under a high temperature and humid atmosphere. Onto a fuel electrode 2 which includes zirconia in its composition, an interconnector film 5 made of lanthanum chromite-based perovskite type oxide which includes calcium in its composition is formed, and then onto the interconnector film 5, a protective layer 7 is formed with using La0.6Sr0.4MnO3.

  • Patent number: 6740442
Abstract: The strength of a cell stack is improved, and processing of components is facilitated to decrease the processing cost. Further, an output characteristic is enhanced, and the material cost is reduced. A single cell 1 includes a fuel electrode (porous fuel electrode substrate) 2 consisting of a porous substrate, an electrolyte film 3 formed on one of a front surface and a back surface of the porous fuel electrode substrate 2, an air electrode film 4 formed on the electrolyte film 3, a separator film 5 formed on the other surface of the porous fuel electrode substrate 2, and a porous air electrode substrate 6 jointed to the air electrode film 4. A stack 14 is formed by laminating these single cells 1 and attaching manifold plates 11 on side surfaces.
