  • Publication number: 20130049665
Abstract: A MG drive computer switches off system relays when a collision or a possibility of collision is detected. The computer also executes the revolution speed reduction control for reducing the revolution speed of a rotating electric machine and the discharge control for discharging a smoothing capacitor. In the revolution speed reduction control, the second control for switching on switching elements of three phases of an upper arm or lower arm of an inverter and switching off all other switching elements is performed when the revolution speed of the rotating electric machine is equal to or less than a second threshold. When the revolution speed is higher than the second threshold, the first control for switching on a switching element of one phase of the upper arm or lower arm and switching off other switching elements is performed.

  • Patent number: 8344699
Abstract: When the relation of battery temperature Tb1>battery temperature Tb2 is satisfied, a temperature increase request for a power storage unit becomes relatively large. Therefore, a target power value P2* for the power storage unit is determined with priority. The target power value P2* is calculated by multiplying the required power value Ps* by a distribution ratio Pr2 (0.5?distribution ratio Pr2?1.0) determined in accordance with temperature deviation between battery temperature Tb1 and battery temperature Tb2. The target power value P1* is determined by subtracting the target power value P2* from the required power value Ps*.

  • Patent number: 8297391
Abstract: First and second converters are connected in parallel to positive and negative lines, respectively. When a required power is smaller than a reference value, an ECU controls the first and second converters such that one of the first and second converters operates and the other stops. When the required power is equal to or larger than the reference value, the ECU controls the first and second converters such that both the first and second converters operate.

  • Patent number: 8143861
Abstract: At the time of charging a power storage device from a commercial power supply, electric power from the commercial power supply is applied to a neutral point of each of first and second motor generators. A rotation preventing control unit (222) determines one phase to be subjected to switching control in the first inverter, based on a rotation angle (?1) of the first motor generator. Further, rotation preventing control unit (222) calculates torque generated in the first motor generator, generates a torque control value for canceling out the torque, and outputs the value to a phase voltage operating unit (214) for motor control.

  • Patent number: 8063605
Abstract: An HV-ECU acquires electric power information from an electricity transmission line by using a modem. The electric power information includes information regarding the amount of carbon dioxide having been emitted in the generating process of the commercial electric power supplied from an electricity transmission line. When the CO2 emission amount is below a pre-set CO2 emission amount, the HV-ECU inputs the commercial electric power, and outputs a command to charge an electricity storage device to a motive power output device, so that the motive power output device executes a charging control of the electricity storage device.

  • Patent number: 8054025
Abstract: Commercial AC voltage applied to an input terminal (90) from a commercial power supply external to the vehicle is boosted by a transformer (86) to a voltage level higher than the voltage (VB) of an electricity storage device (B) to be applied to neutral points (N1, N2). In a charging mode of the electricity storage device (B) from a commercial power supply, all npn transistors of an inverter (20, 30) are turned off. The AC voltage applied to the neutral points (N1, N2) is rectified by an anti-parallel diode of the inverter (20, 30) to be supplied onto a power supply line (PL2). A boost converter (10) controls the charging current from the power supply line (PL2) towards the electricity storage device (B).

Abstract: A vehicle preferential treatment system includes a controller mounted in a hybrid vehicle, and a server performing wireless communications with the controller. The controller estimates an SOC of an electric storage (not shown) and transmits the SOC to the server. When the SOC of the electric storage exceeds a reference level, the server gives a preferential treatment to the hybrid vehicle. Then, information on the preferential treatment is transmitted from the server to the controller, and is displayed on a display unit of the controller.

  • Patent number: 7928688
Abstract: A vehicle comprises a battery, i.e. a power storage unit having a capacity different from a reference capacity, a current sensor for detecting a current inputted to the power storage unit or outputted therefrom and delivering the detection value by converting it depending on the ratio of the capacity of the power storage unit to the reference capacity, and a controller performing current integration by receiving the output from the current detecting section and judging charged state of the power storage unit. The current sensor preferably comprises a sensor for measuring a current flowing through wiring connected with the power storage unit, and a converting section for converting the sensor output depending on the ratio of the capacity of the power storage unit to the reference capacity. When the capacity of the power storage unit is equal to n times of the reference capacity, the converting section delivers the sensor output while multiplying by 1/n.
