  • Patent number: 5698636
Abstract: An ocular lens material containing a polymer having a maleimide derivative-.alpha.-methylstyrene unit and N,N-dimethylacrylamide unit, which is excellent in optical property, has a high water-absorptive property and a high mechanical strength and further only shows an extremely small size change based on pH change of a solution under the hydrated state, and which can be preferably used for, in particular, water-absorptive contact lenses and the like, and a process for producing the same.

  • Patent number: 5487788
Abstract: A method of cleaning and disinfecting a contact lens comprising immersing a contact lens in a treating solution, applying a direct current to the treating solution with repeatedly reversing a positive electrode and a negative electrode of a pair of electrodes plural times to generate peroxide and raise the temperature of the treating solution so that the interval of time before reversing is different from or equal to the interval of time after reversing to 50.degree. to 100.degree. C., and bringing the contact lens into direct contact with bubbles generated on the electrodes. Since this method is excellent in electrical safety and cleaning and disinfecting effects, contact lenses can be easily cleaned and disinfected.

  • Patent number: 5449442
Abstract: A cleaning and disinfecting method for a contact lens comprising immersing a contact lens in a treating solution containing a hypohalogenous acid and applying a direct current to the treating solution with repeatedly reversing a positive electrode and a negative electrode plural times, or comprising immersing a contact lens in a solution for treatment containing a halide and applying a direct current to the solution for treatment with repeatedly reversing a positive electrode and a negative electrode plural times. According to the cleaning and disinfecting methods, a contact lens can be cleaned up and disinfected by excellent disinfecting ability and cleaning ability of the hypohalogenous acid, and after that, the hypohalogenous acid can be immediately reduced and detoxicated.

  • Patent number: 4475462
Abstract: Herein disclosed is a tiltable hanger apparatus including an overhead track assembly and a work-carrying assembly movable below and along the overhead track assembly. The work-carrying assembly is composed of a main carrier frame suspended from the overhead track assembly, an auxiliary carrier frame supported by the main carrier frame and arranged to be tiltable with respect to the main carrier frame in a fore-and-aft direction of the work-carrying assembly, and a hanger frame supported by the auxiliary carrier frame and angularly movable with respect to the auxiliary carrier frame about an axis normal to a plane perpendicular to the fore-and-aft direction of the work-carrying assembly. The auxiliary carrier frame is caused to tilt with respect to the main carrier frame in a fore-and-aft direction of the work-carrying assembly by the aid of a first set of guide rollers and rails.
