Abstract: A disposable diaper including a topsheet, and a topsheet is covered, at least in one of front and rear waist regions, with a liquid-resistant sheet bonded to a longitudinal end and transversely opposite side edges of that one of the front and rear waist regions; an elastic foamed member which is folded in two along a folding axis zone extending longitudinally thereof and has a first portion placed against the upper surface of the topsheet and a second portion placed against the lower surface of a liquid-resistant sheet is disposed between the topsheet and the liquid-resistant sheet in such a manner that the foamed member lies on an upper portion of a core in that one of the front and rear waist regions.

Abstract: Training pants for infants include a pant body including of a topsheet, a backsheet and a water-impervious intermediate sheet disposed between the topsheet and the backsheet, and a wetness retaining sheet substantially made of hydrophilic fibers such as rayon. The wetness retaining sheet is bonded to the topsheet intermittently in longitudinal and transverse direction of the sheet. Zones of the wetness retaining sheet which are not bonded to the topsheet continuously extend in the transverse direction of the wetness retaining sheet.

Abstract: A disposable body fluids absorbent article including a liquid-permeable topsheet 2, a liquid-impermeable backsheet and a liquid-absorbent core 4 disposed therebetween. Abstract: A disposable absorbent article such as a disposable diaper including first stretchable side flaps extending over transversely opposite outer zones of the diaper and second stretchable side flaps functioning as liquid-barriers each having a proximal edge and a distal edge arranged so as to define an exposed zone of a topsheet along each of transversely opposite side edge surfaces of a liquid-absorbent core and thereby, if a quantity of liquid excretions gets over the distal edge of the second side flaps, it can be absorbed by the liquid-absorbent core through the exposed zones.
