  • Publication number: 20070177598
Abstract: A communication conditions determination method, a communication conditions determination system, and a determination apparatus are provided in which the conditions of communication which is performed through a plurality of communication networks are determined without setting up a special apparatus on all the communication networks and without increasing the existing traffic. In a first communication network 100 and a second communication network 200 which are connected by a first connection apparatus 1 such as a router, a determination is made as to whether the source of a packet passed through the second communication network 200 is the first connection apparatus 1 or an apparatus other than the first connection apparatus 1. Packets whose respective sources are the first connection apparatus 1 and packets whose respective sources are an apparatus other than the first connection apparatus 1 are individually summarized. By comparing summarized results, the communication conditions are determined.

  • Publication number: 20070177521
Abstract: To detect the communication conditions of a communication path set in a packet network such as a VoIP network, a detection packet is periodically transmitted to the communication path and a load packet is transmitted to the communication path. Then, the time and loss conditions regarding a detection packet having passed through the communication path are detected, and changes in delay and jitter conditions and changes in loss rate according to a traffic load are grasped. Changes in the communication conditions of the communication path at high load can be detected while minimizing the occurrence of adverse effects on other communications.

  • Publication number: 20070177520
Abstract: The traffic load density measuring system includes a transmitter connected to a communication network for transmitting a packet, and a receiver for receiving the packet, in which a packet for load density detection is transmitted and received to measure a traffic load density within a predetermined transmission interval. The transmitter changes a transmission interval of the packet for load density detection, and adds transmission information capable of specifying a transmission time, a transmission interval, and a transmission number of the packet for load density detection to the packet for load density detection to transmit said packet. The receiver receives the packet for load density detection, extracts the transmission information from the packet for load density detection being received, and measures the load density within the predetermined transmission interval based on the extracted transmission information, and a delay or a lost status of the packet for load density detection.

  • Patent number: 7197014
Abstract: A computer-readable recording medium recording a program capable of accurately analyzing the cause of a performance fault at the very end point of a client system, server system, etc. Outgoing and incoming packets are captured during execution of a communication application to measure a round trip time, and a communication window size of the transmitting source is estimated based on the captured incoming packets. A throughput estimate is calculated from the round trip time and the communication window size, and the estimated value and actual measured value of the throughput are displayed on, for example, a display, together with various other communication parameters including the communication window size and the round trip time, whereby the cause of a performance fault can be accurately located by quantitative analysis.

  • Publication number: 20040158645
Abstract: A communication relay device adds information to communication data without depending on a communication application of a communication terminal. The relay device (1) includes a relay control portion (13), a control information database (14), an adder portion (15) and a database for addition (16). The relay control portion (13) controls the adder portion (15) in accordance with information accumulated in the control information DB 14. The adder portion (15) adds the additional data accumulated in the database for addition (16) to decoded first contents in accordance with a control instruction by the relay control portion (13).

  • Publication number: 20040143674
Abstract: A data processing apparatus edits an actual data portion excluding a header from data transmitted by streaming transmission from a first information processing apparatus after start of streaming transmission. The data processing apparatus transmits edited actual data portion and header to a second information processing apparatus by streaming transmission. The second information processing apparatus reproduces the voice data or the animation data transmitted by streaming transmission. The actual data portion is edited so that the voice data or the animation data to be transmitted may be reproducible in the second information processing apparatus, and so that a program may become unexecutable even if it would be transmitted to the second information processing apparatus.

  • Publication number: 20020133367
Abstract: Select-call administration system for efficiently administrating phone calls to reduce ineffectualness on the part of both calling and receiving parties when companies conduct sales and surveys. A voice announcement device 12 notifies a receiving terminal that a call from a calling terminal is a select phone call. A point-carrying phone call administration device 11 acquires correspondence information based on receiving-terminal correspondence to a call from a calling terminal. The system creates point information based on correspondence information acquired by the point-carrying phone call administration device 11, and presents awards such as discounts in call charges or exchange merchandise.

  • Patent number: 4568794
Abstract: An improved method for suspending a gap type steel reinforced aluminum conductor is proposed. A sleeve is mounted on the conductor and compressed so that there will be no gap between the conductive strands and the core. When compressed, grooves are formed in the outer periphery of the sleeve. Armor rods are wound around the sleeve in the grooves. The conductor is then clamped in a suspension clamp.
