Abstract: A packet switch and a packet switching method capable of taking the full advantage of the transfer capability of the packet switch by avoiding the influence due to the congestion are disclosed. In the packet switch, the priority level according to the congestion states of the transfer target is attached to a packet, and the processing at a time of packet collision is carried out by accounting for this priority level, so that it becomes possible to carry out the packet transfer control according to the congestion status of the transfer target of each packet.

Abstract: A wireless base station which controls joining of a plurality of wireless terminals to a wireless network, s stores a maximum joining possible terminal number which indicates a maximum number of the wireless terminals of each terminal type that can join the wireless network simultaneously, and which is set in advance for each one of a Plurality of terminal types that classify the wireless terminals, and a currently joining terminal number which indicates a number of the wireless terminals of each terminal type that are currently joining the wireless network, for each one of the plurality of the terminal types. Then, the wireless base station judges whether the joining of one wireless terminal of one terminal type which sent a request message to the wireless network is permitted or not, according to the maximum joining possible terminal number for the one terminal type and the currently joining terminal number stored for the one terminal type.

Abstract: A network of radio devices is managed by carrying out a radio device registration at a registering authentication server when it is possible to communicate with all the authentication servers, distributing registration information to the authentication servers, managing the registration information at each one of the authentication servers, carrying out a radio device deletion at a deleting authentication server, distributing deletion information to the authentication servers, and deleting the radio device from the registration information according to the deletion information at each one of the authentication servers.

Abstract: In the disclosed registration and authentication scheme, in the case of carrying out the registration and authentication of a wireless terminal with respect to a wireless base station provided inside the home, for example, a user of the wireless terminal must directly operate the wireless base station. For this reason, it is possible to prevent the registration and authentication of a wireless terminal of an external user who cannot easily operate the wireless base station, and thereby it is possible to realize the secure and easy registration and authentication processing even when the wireless communications are used.
