Abstract: A vehicle driving assistance system not using a high performance computer mounted in a vehicle. In the system, an imaging unit mounted in the vehicle captures an image of surroundings of the vehicle. A communication unit mounted in the vehicle transmits information including the image captured by the imaging unit to an information processing center outside of the vehicle. An image processing unit included in the information processing center applies predefined image processing to the image received from the vehicle. A communication unit included in the information processing center transmits information indicative of an outcome of the image processing by the image processing unit to the vehicle. A driving assistance unit mounted in the vehicle performs operations for assisting in driving the vehicle on the basis of the information indicative of the outcome of the image processing by the image processing unit.
