  • Patent number: 5680647
Abstract: The present invention relates to an optical camera having a zoom function in which a focal length can be varied or the variation is actuated by a focal length changing member, and in particular to a camera in which a focal length is varied through a motor. The optical camera has a zoom lens operable by a rotatable zoom ring for changing the focal length thereof. An automatic focusing operation is effected by a control means when the focal length is changed so that an image of an object viewed through a viewfinder remains in focus. The zoom lens can include a motor and an in-exposure zoom control means can be provided for controlling zooming movement of the lens during an exposure operation.

  • Patent number: 5557366
Abstract: A strobe control device for a camera has a light receiving element for receiving and integrating light reflected from a film surface of a film used in the camera. The strobe control device further includes a controller which controls a strobe to emit light. The controller controls the strobe to stop emitting light when the amount of light integrated by the light receiving element reaches a threshold value. The threshold value is adjusted so that the effects on the amount of light received by the light receiving element are canceled when predetermined parameters of a photographing optical path of the camera are changed.

  • Patent number: 5471276
Abstract: A photometry system for a camera has a finder optical system for receiving light reflected by an object and for forming an image of the object on a finder field, the image corresponding to an image that is formed on a film surface. The photometry system also includes an indicator for projecting a predetermined image onto a predetermined area of the finder field: a photometric sensor that detects a brightness of the image formed on the finder field; and a controller which inhibits the indicator from projecting the predetermined image onto the finder field when the photometric sensor is detecting a brightness of a portion of the finder field which includes the predetermined area.

  • Patent number: 5325147
Abstract: An exposure control apparatus of a camera having a photometer, a film sensitivity detector, a calculator which calculates an exposure value, a diaphragm value and a shutter speed in accordance with a measurement by the photometer and the film sensitivity, an object distance detector, a strobe, a limit diaphragm value calculator that calculates a first limit diaphragm value, which varies with the film sensitivity, and a second limit diaphragm value, which varies with the object distance, when strobe light is emitted, and a minimum limit diaphragm value setting device which compares the first and second limit diaphragm values and selects the larger diaphragm value as the minimum limit diaphragm value to be used in the exposure control.

  • Patent number: 5160910
Abstract: An electromagnetic relay, comprising: a case consisting of a terminal base and a cover fitted thereon; a pair of contact units arranged laterally on the terminal base; an electromagnet unit arranged in the case on a longitudinal end of the contact units; an upper longitudinal insulating wall depending from an upper inner wall surface of the cover between different ones of the contact units; a lower longitudinal insulating wall projecting from an inner surface of the terminal base so as to correspond to the upper longitudinal insulating wall; and an actuating member made of electrically insulating material for transmitting a drive force of an armature of the electromagnet unit to the contact units; a guide structure being defined between a lower end of the upper longitudinal insulating wall and an upper end of the lower longitudinal insulating wall so as to guide movement of the card along a longitudinal direction as it is actuated by an armature of the electromagnet unit to actuate the contact units between t

  • Patent number: 5090919
Abstract: A seal structure for an electric device having an electrically conductive lead portion which passes through a through hole in a bottom surface of an electrically insulating housing. Additionally, the housing is provided with a lateral slot in a side surface thereof which is in communication with the through hole and which is filled with a sealant. Thus, the sealant which has been filled into the lateral slot adheres to the surface of the terminal piece exposed in the interior of the lateral slot and is solidified therein. Therefore, when this electric device is mounted on a printed circuit board, and its lead portions are soldered to a printed pattern of the printed circuit board, flux is prevented from reaching the internal part of the lead portion, and various problems which are otherwise caused by intrusion of flux into the interior of the housing can be effectively prevented.

  • Patent number: 4904974
Abstract: According to the invention, a pair of pockets (13) are formed in one flange (12). A pair of almost L-shaped connecting terminals (14) are fitted into the pocket with a pressure. The starting and terminating sides (10a, 10b) of a coil core wire (10) are respectively wound around the connecting terminals. Thus, the cutting-out of the coil core wire is prevented and the connecting work can be easily performed.
