  • Patent number: 8545395
Abstract: An endoscopically inserting surgical tool is composed of an elongated flexible cord to be passed through a tool guide channel on an endoscope, and a tool action mechanism mounted on a fore distal end of the flexible cord to be projected out of the tool guide channel. The flexible cord has such a length that, when the tool action mechanism is projected out of a tool exit opening at the end of the tool guide channel, a proximal end portion of the flexible cord still remains outside and rearward of a tool entrance way which is provided on a manipulating head grip of the endoscope as an approach to the tool guide channel. A proximal end portion of the flexible cord is gripped in a rotary tool adjustor which is manipulable to turn the tool action mechanism clockwise or counterclockwise together with the flexible cord in the tool guide channel of the endoscope.

  • Publication number: 20110245829
Abstract: An endoscopic high-frequency treatment instrument includes a sheath, an operation wire, a first gripping part, a second gripping part and a first electrode. The sheath includes a front end, a rear end, and a longitudinal shaft. The operation wire is provided in the sheath so as to advance and retreat. The first gripping part is fixed to extend from the front end of the sheath along the longitudinal shaft. The second gripping part is connected to the operation wire and is moved about a base end thereof as a rotation center so as to approach and be separated from the first gripping part as the operation wire advances and retreats with respect to the sheath. The first electrode is provided on a surface of the first gripping part which faces the second gripping part.

  • Publication number: 20100048989
Abstract: An endoscopic surgical instrument of the sort having a flexible cord encased in a flexible sheath and attached to a tail end of an electrode member to be retractably protruded from a fore distal end of the flexible sheath. A fluid passage is provided internally of and throughout the flexible sheath to extend as far as a fore distal end of the latter. An influx/efflux control valve is connected to a rear proximal end of the fluid passage. The influx/efflux control valve is provided with a plural number of influent/effluent fluid connection ports in association with a switching means which is adapted to selectively connect the influent/effluent fluid connection ports with the fluid passage in the flexible sheath.

  • Publication number: 20080294159
Abstract: A high frequency surgical instrument having a forceps assembly at a fore distal end of an elongated insertion member, the forceps assembly being constituted by a pair of opening and closing grasper members which are shaped with a series of saw teeth on an inner meeting side in such a way that saw tooth portions on the two grasper members are at least partly brought into abutting engagement with each other when the grasper member are closed. For manipulating opening and closing actions of the grasper members, a manipulative transmission means is threaded through the insertion member, connecting the paired grasper members of the forceps to a manipulation handle which is attached to a proximal end of the insertion member. Each one of the grasper members is formed of a conducting material and arranged to have a width narrower than outside diameter of the insertion member on the saw-toothed inner side.
