    Abstract: The present invention imparts elasticity, reproducibility of dots, film toughness and wear resistance to printing plates obtained therefrom, in addition to good water developability and mechanical properties, by providing a photosensitive resin composition comprising:(A) 10 to 90% by weight of specific crosslinked polymer particles having a particle size of 0.01 to 5 micron,(B) 10 to 70% by weight of a specific hydrophobic elastomer,(C) 1 to 25% by weight of a hydophilic polymer having a molecular weight of 1,000 to 1,000,000,(D) 1 to 30% by weight of a basic nitrogen-containing compound,(E) 1 to 60% by weight of a photopolymerizable ethylenically unsaturated monomer, and(F) 0.01 to 10% by weight of a photopolymerization initiator; % by weight being based on a total amount of the resin composition. The present invention also provides a flexoprinting plate obtained from the above resin composition and a process for producing the flexoprinting plate.

    Abstract: A water-developable photosensitive resin plate suitable for the manufacture of a relief printing plate having high resistance to water-based inks, high resilience and excellent form stability, which comprises:(A) a copolymer comprising units of (i) an aliphatic conjugated diene monomer (ii) and .alpha., .beta.-ethylenically unsaturated carboxylic acid and (iii) a polyfunctional vinyl monomer, optionally with (iv) a monofunctional vinyl monomer, the content of the aliphatic conjugated diene monomer (i), the .alpha., .beta.-ethylenically unsaturated carboxylic acid (ii), the polyfunctional vinyl monomer (iii) and the monofunctional vinyl monomer (iv) being respectively from about 5 to 95 mol %, from about 1 to 30 mol %, from about 0.1 to 10 mol % and 0 to 70 mol % based on the combination of those monomeric components;(B) a basic nitrogen atom-containing compound;(C) an ethylenically unsaturated monomer; and(D) a photopolymerization initiator.

    Abstract: Disclosed is a photosensitive resin composition for flexographic printing which has high water developability and good mechanical strength. The resin composition comprises (A) a partially crosslinked copolymer prepared by a radical emulsion polymerization of a specific monomer mixture (B) a linear polymer having a molecular weight of at least 5,000, which has at least 30 mol % of a conjugated diene unit, (C) a basic nitrogen atom-containing compound, (D) a photopolymerizable ethylenically unsaturated monomer, and (E) a photopolymerization inhitiator. The present invention also provides a resin plate for flexographic printing obtained from the above mentioned resin composition and a process for preparing it. The present invention further provides a printing plate obtained from the resin plate and a process for preparing it.

    Abstract: A photosensitive composition comprising (1) a maleic anhydride adduct of 1,2-polybutadiene having a molecular weight of 10,000 or higher, (2) at least one photosensitizer and/or at least one photosensitive crosslinking agent, and, if necessary, (3) at least one acrylic monomer. This composition can be developed with water or a polar solvent such as an alcohol, and its layer formed on a support provides a printing plate. When the acrylic monomer is contained, the composition is suitable for use in flexographic printing.
